No intentional changes or updates were made to these Champions.
If anything has unintentionally shifted or broken over the past year or so, we'll either revert it or fix it properly. In cases where that's not possible, we'll adjust things until their damage output aligns with the expected / intended performance.

The team will make sure their damage scales well. We dont need comp for this, just need it fixed.

Interpretation is somewhat subjective. I personally can easily see how they read it and why it concerned them some. They also didn't come to a conclusion, they simply had a worry about what one of the sentences could imply. Kabam (Osaurus) Rex said it correctly, they just read a bit too much into their words and has a slight concern over what they could mean. That and there is nothing wrong with asking respectfully for a clarification so there are no further misunderstandings.

Isn't this the same thing that happened to ironhearth? Her "vulnerability" was INCREASING enemy resistances instead lol. I'd wager the pierce buffs actually increase enemy armor for the hit instead. Anyways I have no idea what's going on under there but I'm leaving this comment so I can find the thread again.
