the top 30 thing isn’t just for champs which is already bad enough but it includes top 30 relic prestige too. since launch, the fastest way to get relics was to swipe your credit card during july and cyber with the relic odin offers. 

otherwise you’d get 1 or so relic pulls a month through content so basically slim chances at high sigs, and sig stones were practically nonexistent. 

almost everybody with high relic prestige only got there with cash, it’s next to impossible otherwise. but if you swipe your card you’ll get 120 generic sigs and 12x nexus crystals where you can basically target whoever you like. 

unless they drastically change the relic economy, this update can literally add $1000 a year in costs to players if not more and that’s just for relics. 

this isn’t really bad for megawhales but a difference maker for the casual spenders in competitive tiers and can literally mean the end of the road.

What matters is my new R4, which is both my first Skill R4 and my first pure attacker R4. But hey, if you can take Photon, Spider-Woman, Bullseye, Yelena, and Dark Phoenix, then you deserve an R4 in my book.

If you pulled two Kushala relics that weren't dupes, they didn't have the exact same name. Similar yes, exact no.

All Statcasts are given names based on their abilities in the "[Primary Stat] [Class] Relic of [Secondary Stat]" format. For Kushala, this is Insulated Mystic relic of [Secondary Stat]. Each individual Statue has its own Primary Stat that won't change.

There are 5 Secondary Stats per Statue. Kushala's are Cruelty (Ferocity), Crit (Finesse), Armor (Protection), Crit Resist (Blunting), and Physical Resist (Blunting). Yes, it does give them hilariously long names, but the name is informative. You can also see visually the Primary Stat (top icon on the right) and Secondary (bottom icon on the right) to know which is which without needing to see the name or click into the relic.

I do like the new dynamic quest difficulty based on top 30 prestige. We knew that was coming and it seemed good. But altering prestige in that way for the game in general is one of the most braindead things ive seen them do

I’ve seen the sarcastic tone, and, I really appreciate the way you are approaching this. It’s because really you only ever need to chase the very top 5, and dye to recent changes champs like Surfer are no longer relevant. This makes him relevant again… same with Zemo who coincidently just came out and nobody cared about until this announcement (from a prestige perspective). This will essentially discourage ranking anybody outside of this top 30 effective today… that just drains so much enjoyment outta the game. You want top 5 AQ no Red Hulks or Silver Centerians for you…. And I just think that’s really bad for long term health.

It’s gonna narrow not just the top 5 AQ chasing rosters too, but anybody playing AQ. This about the impact of BGs on how a champ is looked at today… this will be just like that too. People will dismiss chunks because the prestige ain’t good enough, tbh I can’t think of any upside here
