I do like the new dynamic quest difficulty based on top 30 prestige. We knew that was coming and it seemed good. But altering prestige in that way for the game in general is one of the most braindead things ive seen them do

I’ve seen the sarcastic tone, and, I really appreciate the way you are approaching this. It’s because really you only ever need to chase the very top 5, and dye to recent changes champs like Surfer are no longer relevant. This makes him relevant again… same with Zemo who coincidently just came out and nobody cared about until this announcement (from a prestige perspective). This will essentially discourage ranking anybody outside of this top 30 effective today… that just drains so much enjoyment outta the game. You want top 5 AQ no Red Hulks or Silver Centerians for you…. And I just think that’s really bad for long term health.
It’s gonna narrow not just the top 5 AQ chasing rosters too, but anybody playing AQ. This about the impact of BGs on how a champ is looked at today… this will be just like that too. People will dismiss chunks because the prestige ain’t good enough, tbh I can’t think of any upside here

Kabam haven’t been pro player for a long, long time. From a 10 year+ player, what’s happening is just sad to see.

The 600 units is either the biggest communication blunder ever (tell us where they are going) or intentionally left out because they plan to not return them.
40k unit sales events and stripping away units is no bueno. Someone didn’t think it was worth mentioning that a ton of players would be questioning this?

We want to be transparent about a change (only after the fact).
we’ve scaled back the number of Energy Refills (we couldn't nerf revives anymore)
With that, we do understand energy is a hot topic ( lalalalala not listening lalalala)

Summoner engagement went away and with it went the units, but they explained what would happen to those.
Lower level difficulties are going away, so where are the units going? They left an important piece out. There's no waffling about it. I'd be (happily) shocked if they let us grab them all in one difficulty. If they're going to take 500ish units a month away, then we should know what's happening.

Kinda reads like they nerfed tf out of ftp units. I used to do the same. Play 3 lower difficulties for units and ignore the other three which were imo a huge waste of time. Did valiant aq as well. I doubt they put all the conqueror proven and uncollected units into this new adaptive things because that's hundreds of units. As well as the weekly summoner event having units nerfed. This is bad until I hear that every unit is accounted for elsewhere (and don't count arena)

there’s only one way this plays out over time in top AQ groups. Are you ranking champs in the top 30 list, no? You must not be serious gtfho. This is hands down WAY worse
Dev Diary Update - 15th August - Let be Frank
* One Difficulty MEQ = lost of 600 units
* Units moved from Alliance Event into Daily Quests = Now cost energy for the same units
* Removed Energy Refills from Alliance Event (apparently because we don't need as much), but Daily Quest is now essentially compulsory = Not getting Energy Refills but need to use more energy.
* Prestige is now 30 instead of 10 = More unnecessary chase, rank up, awaken and sigs...until a new champ with the higher prestige is released.
* Sales event every single months = Whale, Shark, Tuna, Scrimp, Plankton all getting a bit tired and over milked.
* New relics, new crystals, but old crystals and shards are still part of rewards = players confusion.
* Game load with 3 Wave icon = extra time to admire the Screen poster, but wasting players lot of time and frustration
* AI is chaotic, recover from SP & Heavy extremely fast, Parry very well and love jeeking in the corner 🤣 = frustrating gameplay
*Forum broken (again) = perfect time to realise bad news and go under the radar
Apparently Kabam listen to the players feedback, but continue to make changes that make players feel disconnected, discontent and disengaged.
Where do we go from here?
