To be fair, they knew it was four champs when they said mid-October. This isn't the first time they've been late, it's just the most significant case of it.

Can't wait for this shitstorm today, no matter what the announcement is they're going to take a humongous L unless they announce she will be in the Banquet crystals or milestones or that there will be a way to get her f2p soon. If they: A) Nerf her then they're going to have a wave of disappointed raging whales and arena grinders and they will completely lose all credibility when it comes to champion sales that aren't in the plat track, and if they: B) Don't nerf her and don't make an announcement about when f2p players will be able to get her then they're going to have another "wtf Serpent isn't getting nerfed?" situation for the next week or two because Dark Phoenix is a stupidly overpowered defender AND she already has less viable counters than Serpent so the fact that only p2w and arena grinders will have access to her for who knows how long just feels like a low blow.

Sounds like they are trying to come up with ways that justify Dark Phoenix while you nerfed spider women.

In my opinion. If they decide to tune her down they HAVE to go back and rebalance serpent, enchantress, and captain Britain. There's no world in which they can touch dark phoenix and it be an acceptable thing to do if they dont admit fault and rebalance the others.

And they would never do that so I dont think she's getting tuned down. I think she's staying as is or at the most they're going to tune down the nova flame when she's immortal.

They backed themselves into a corner with this one. They tested the waters with the spiderwoman nerf and it backfired spectacularly for the reasons above so it's no wonder why it's taking them so long for this announcement.
