People quit all the time, and they're well within their rights to do so. Evetytime someone on YouTube quits, the doomsday posts come. There are obviously problems. They know it as much as we do. They're not sitting in an office, oblivious to them.
That doesn't mean there are easy solutions. Believe me, I haven't been happy about the changes, and I've voiced that. I still don't think a boycott, or people quitting, or any protest will fix them any faster.
I do think one area that could be improved on is communication. It's somewhat lacking lately.
The maker review
LACK OF CRITICAL HITS This is very good against champs who punish mitigate or ignore this such as mutants and other champs such as Zola man thing scarlet witch etc. This also means that exhaustion is useless which is good against Jean and captain Britain. Also good against crit resistant champs as it doesn’t matter
BGS He very similar to galan where he suffers in very long fights but is excellent in medium short content. His short rotation of sp1 and sp2 finishes healthpiols in bgs quite quickly. Barely anybody complains about galan damage so i don’t understand why people have a problem with his. He takes on many meta champs such as Zola yelena and all mutant defenders.
MUTANTS Only champ with an ability that is specifically called SPECIAL POWER DRAIN (60%) so for now he’s the most viable captain Britain direct counter released.
NEUROSHOCK AND REVERSE CONTROL IMMUNITY Vecause of this alone, he’s going to invaluable for alliance war and bgs. For this he’s easily the best onslaught Jean grey and captain Britain counter as you can’t reverse his controls he is psychic shielding and they can’t really do anything to severely damage him as he is immune to neuroshock
Passives
HEAVY. This is pretty unique as it inflicts an instant plasma. The only champion that directly inflicts a consequence of being hit with plasma in their description is onslaught , inflicting a neuroshock, which he is immune to .
Additonally his heavy does not ADD TO HIS COMBO METER. This looks pretty niche but this means that for example he can heavy counter gentle without affecting his unstoppable timer. Also if he is hit on that specific node which punishes the losing of combo meters he is not affected in the slightest. Also, this makes him good for knull, as he won’t accumulate darkness, which severely reduces combat power rate. Also he steals combat power rate anyway making him a good knull counter as he isn’t affected by inequity very much. Even if knull stops his evade he’ll inflict an energy vulnerability when duped as a consequence
UNFAZED COUNTER. his passive stun lasts 3 seconds so he can just simply wait it out
IGNORES INEQUITY. Practically, he doesn’t crit and he deals burst damage so he is unfettered by it
BURST DAMAGE This ignores a lot of mitigation which is pretty good. He can take yelena easily because of this and he can take Zola because of this. HOWEVER for Zola you have to stick to sp1s as Zola will cap his sp2 damage. Not sure about his interaction with thanos as I haven’t versed one yet in forever.
SUPPRESSION deals with energise and champs with increased combat power rate. The collar tech mastery also increases HIS power rate too which is handy.
HEAL BLOCK on heavy is pretty handy too
INCREASE ABILITY ACCURACY by 25% makes him a decent domino counter too
HOWEVER he cannot handle bishop unless you don’t bait his so1 and he cannot deal with Havok.
Many tech releases recently cannot deal with Havok though for some odd reason.
He’s a good team player too. Unless you are a tech or one of his direct synergy partners his prefight are halved but this is still handy
25% COWARDICE is pretty handy in case you get clipped
INSTANT SIPHON not to sure about this ability but it does increase his damage which is pretty good. In the deep dive it is used against bullseye but that overall is a terrible matchup unless you are using the doom/ SIM synergy which helps him prevent evade
SPECIAL EVADE when duped, I suggest him duped as it is handy. It gives you more damage gives him stun immunity and can be a life saver if you mess up.
For long fights do a sp1 then a sp3 so his mine overcharges for even more damage . And then eventually a so2 to finish them off hopefully
STUN IMMUNITY Aside from giving him stun immunity which is cool, he can deal with encroaching stun and that stun reflect node in alliance war because of this
OVERALL he has a ton of utility and is really helpful. He’ll shine a lot in AW and in bgs especially. He’s decent quick in bgs and is the safest onslaught counter even if he is not as fast as Jack
CRITICISM Despite the problem with mines in this game I’ve never had a problem with the maker as the opponent does not HAVE to be in the corner. If the ai is being sketchy then sp1 into their block. When they think they have an opening 1 they will trigger the mine taking instant damage. 2 you have ample time to block/ evade
HOWEVER we have to be more lore accurate. He evolved so has no organs so he SHOULD have COMPLETE BLEED AND POISON IMMUNITY
Aside from that I PERSONALLY have no other current issues with the maker ( for now)
How do you guys feel about him?
Btw want to clarify that I am not a kabam employee, as I’ve noticed that poor MSD got it in his videos about hyping up the maker for some reason. He’s actually a really good champ, I was quite wrong about him initially so congrats on his designer, he’s really good! Also very rank in the maker is important imo. He’s doing fine at r3 for me currently ( will r4 him after I r4 zemo first) so don’t think he needs r4 to be good.

i didn’t notice any variation like this when I did the path.
Any of my champs who weren’t immune to bleed or 100% resistant got cooked with any more than 1 bleed on them.

It’s a big part of the frustration. If you opened up all of your crystals when the Titan rolled over to the new champ pool, you were opening a crystal that had inferior champs in it. Instead of just compensating this group, they extended the compensation to everyone after who opened up a Titan after Zola was added back into the pool. The explanation from @Kabam (Osaurus) Rex in his compensation post is to extend it to everyone even if you weren’t affected by having to open a worse crystal. It just shorts those of us who did open all of their Titans with no chance of potentially acquiring Zola.
In the past, they have set precedent that if you weren’t affected by Kabam’s errors you received no benefit. Everyone remembers when they opened Nightmare Raids and it was bugged and so they shut it all down and gave full map rewards plus refunded all the Raid tickets to anyone affected. Anyone who played regular Raids or who hadn’t joined the bugged Nightmare Raids yet before they closed them was left shafted.
That smaller group of people who jumped into the Nightmare Raids that Kabam screwed up received justifiable compensation. No one else did. Now those of us who opened an inferior Titan crystal are given the same rewards as those who opened a better crystal. Just very inconsistent way to deal with things by Kabam.

All that is well and good, but then why extend it? By extending it you are giving someone the option of opening one titan and getting whoever that champ is (could be Zola) and a guaranteed Zola. As someone who was trying to get him (I would take him even if given the option of a Nexus), who wouldn’t want those odds. So at the baseline, people that were affected are getting less than the people that were not affected.

arcade you just parry and then heavy. I actually took arcade out of my deck around 15 mins ago because he’s not that difficult on defense

Kabam cannot reset time and undo the past. Statistically speaking, your expected rate of return on opening five Titan crystals was 5/18 of a Zola. This rounds to zero. Giving everyone a selector means first, everyone will be getting more Titan "drops" than they otherwise would have had, and for those that were explicitly aiming at Zola they are probably getting more of him than they otherwise would have. Only the players who opened more than 18 Titans are getting statistically fewer Titans, and only players who opened 27 or more Titans are getting statistically fewer than the rounded expected rate of return. This is a marginally tiny number of players, and I would hazard a guess that most of them aren't hurting for ways to acquire Zola.
In your case, the odds of pulling even a single Zola were just 25%. There was a three in four chance you would have gotten no Zolas. The odds of pulling two or more are about 3%. So the odds that you could have done better than the selector are about 33 to 1 against.
So except for the rare lunatic who was planning to open a thousand Titans hoping to walk away with a max sig Zola at the end of the day, pretty much everyone is getting more than what they were statistically likely to get. Sure, there are rare people who would have ended up with more Zolas, but just because such people statistically exist, doesn't mean they are even the right people to benefit. It is entirely possible and probable that lots of people would have gotten Zola dups that were not even looking for or wanting that champ, and conversely lots of people wanting to get and dup him could have still failed to do so.
The idea that everyone had different expectations, so we should just ask everyone precisely what they were hoping to get, and then giving it to them because hey, it could have happened, is asking for the ridiculous.
