New Valiant EQ and the extreme difficulty.
I'm here to write about the new Valiant EQ and how some recent content changes may have negatively impacted players.
So, here my points:
- much higher difficulty than last month and how bizarre it is that fights are taking longer than missions like the Crucible, with health pools at about 1 million hit points.
- the fact that, after an exhausting fight, you simply don't heal your champions, which guarantees resource expenditure at the end of the mission.
- some mission nodes are incredibly poorly chosen. For example, in the first mission, which focuses on mutants, it's rare for anyone to have 16 bleed-immune or resistant mutants leveled up, and even with resistance, you're almost certain to lose a lot of health in the next fight.
- recently, energy refills are a resource that's been missing from the game, and honestly, 3/4/5 energy per tile? Which wouldn't be a problem, as long as we were still getting energy refills like before.
- the rewards are extremely unfavorable compared to the difficulty and stress it would cause. For example, some people are facing fights where the defender has over 1 million health, still having to be cautious not to take a special and die. For comparison: Act 8 Crucible Joe Fixit has approximately 950k health. Valiant EQ Joe Fixit, for those with over 25k prestige, has about 1 million health. So, we're dealing with an event that has 16 fights per mission, lasts longer, and is less rewarding than Act 8 Crucible.
That's it. I know that these comtents have been in Beta, but it's really frustrating that they were released this way, especially with a series of bugs that cause long server maintenance.

I think it's intentionally overturned. They've made enough Everest content to know how to properly scale defenders. Next month they'll listen to the community and change the scaling of the defenders, but the core issues like rewards will remain.

The nodes itself arent the biggest problem, their stats are the real deal, our attack doesn't scales up enough to deal a good chunk of damage, if you're going to use 7* r1 it will feel like things are really slow and you can'tlet your champ get hit, never, cause they kill you in one combo.
Damage through block, even ifyou parry eats your health bar away.

this new format is so confusing. We said we wanted to spend less time on EQ and we wanted quests that were more simple. I was on board with the idea of adaptive rewards but this EQ is the worst in this game’s history. I don’t understand why classic fights are already 800k health and so much attack. Then on top of it, elder is just absurd. It’s crucible style with just as much health and attack but the choice nodes don’t heal you. So not only are we spending more time on EQ (opposite of what we wanted) now it’s an item sink too. This is such a massive L and I’m just skipping EQ altogether. Get it together Kabam.

this change to EQ is not good, 800k health pools, very unforgiving. Champs dont get full health when going to a new fight like in crucible, i have no desire to do it. Kabam what is your malfunction? Stop changing things if we wanted hard content we can always do long form content. This reminds me of the time you guys nerfed SW and DS, you almost lost your player base. I give you A for trying but its time to call it and change it back or atleast tone it down considerably!

the change for classic difficulty is whatever.
It’s elder difficulty that really bites into your resources, only 1 champ allowed, pick a different one every fight, but no healing.
Meanwhile your dealing with champs that can chip away at you even with perfect parries.
You won’t make it through without potions or revives, which I usually save those for harder/longer content like necro.

Re: Relic bugged on Idol
..so just tested this a bit. I get the relic to activate, but it’s only registering at the bottom of the button, if I hit the button square on, the middle it doesn’t activate just flashes. If i tap the bottom of the button circle it activates but it’s hit and miss.

@Kabam Pinwheel can you pass it to the devs please.

Absolute worst change ever to EQ. Had started playing this game as a stress buster from work 5 years ago. The game has become the biggest stress in life now. Don’t think I can keep up.
