The outcry on the forums about the new format feels just a tad hysterical, especially since we’ve been well-informed that Kabam would be trialing different Valiant EQ formats and this is in no way a permanent change. It’s not that terrible imo. However, I definitely still think it’s a marked step down with the only real saving grace being that it takes a bit less time if you know what you’re doing.

Actually, rereading the Raid Boss notes, Spidey Supreme’s ability to trigger Miss off of mediums is just outright disabled so at least you won’t get hit for trying to punish his heavies with a medium without disabling the Astral Form.

Tech: Fantman
Mutant: Jean
Skill: Xbones
Science: Nefaria
Mystic: Chavez

Any and all of these champs I use everyday and they solve so many problems for me. Plus, I just love playing the champs. And some of them, Chavez, Jean: Nefa, and Fantman all have fun mechanics that I enjoy.

Chavez: heavy mid combo
Jean: reducing special thresholds, and getting to throw a ton of specials makes me happy.
Nefa: that evade and everything else about the character is just incredible, easily my favorite champ in game
Fantman, love that he can throw almost whatever special he wants when throwing a light combo ender, and just a great champ

My 3 “weirdo” faves are pretty firmly Taskmaster, Leader, and Doc Ock these days. I use them everywhere I can.
