The fact that Kabam announced the non saga defenders die node and then switched gears a few hours later is even worse in my opinion than making a decision and sticking with it.

It shows incoherence, incompetence, and institutional dysfunction.

This is why I agree with your assessment. I don't view the actual designers and artists as a problem; I think they are great at what they do.

I view the leadership and communication people as the problem; they're clearly in over their heads and are doing a very poor job and doing a lot of harm to the health of the game.

They just need to hire one guy. Make the position "Lead Execution Strategist". They sit in meetings all day. They have few to no ideas of their own, and ultimately contribute very little in the sense of game development. What they do instead is, when Kabam is planning something dumb, when they're failing to properly communicate (or communicate at all), or when nobody is checking the things that need to be checked before launching something, they're there to slap them upside the head before it becomes a problem. The job will demand 80-100 hours per week for the first 6 months with the goal of reducing the workload over the course of 3 years. The fewer hours this person works, the more successful Kabam is.

Its not that hard... Champs that can inflict bleed can't make champs with bleed immunity bleed....

Just looking at what's been done to the game, with PvP modes now in the toilet, and the people in charge instead of listening to feedback from CCP and community instead dialing it up to 11 next BG season with the "non-saga defenders lose 5% health every second."

And lo and behold, saga champs are only ascendable champs, so basically selling 20-40% power advantage for the megawhales who splurge on featured valiant and empowered crystals wasnt enough, now they need to make sure non-whales literally won't even have a chance to compete at the top?

And I'm not talking about the champion designers, the artists, but basically the business side.
The Kabam people at the top making monetization decisions and the community engagement people who clearly are either ignoring the community or lack the ability to be conduits and advocates for the community's interests like Miike was before he got replaced with salesmen.

So what do y'all think? Does MCOC need new decisionmakers and community managers or are you happy with the state and direction of the game?
