WHY is this Stellar Forged piece in BGs?
I’m fairly skilled, but I’m being matched against rosters more than DOUBLE the size of mine.
What kind of message does this send to the wider playerbase?
1) “You can’t participate in this chase unless your account has a rating of 10m?”
2) “Oh you can catch up later on. What’s that? You didn’t play BGs? That’ll be 20k units”
This is ridiculous.
Am I not allowed a fair chance to get this chase piece? It’s difficult enough to commit to one year of chase pieces, without it being damn near IMPOSSIBLE to attain some pieces.
TLDR: tone deaf chase design b/c of unfair BGs matchups.

no, that isn’t true. I’m in a non-competitive alliance. We do aq and aw, but at lower stress-free levels. I have not received any radiance other than what I’ve gotten by doing BGs myself.
I agree with the original poster that the 6* piece shouldn’t be firewalled away (I have no dog in the fight as I will get the 7* piece).

Join a very basic alliance that does minimal work. You'll get radiance that way. 10,000 isn't hard to earn at all.

I don't really have a problem with it myself, but I can definitely see the argument that it would be much nicer to have these kinds of rewards in solo rather than competitive content. That way, it always feels as if it's in your hands rather than at the hands of Kabam's matchmaking. My main account will be just fine - I don't think I've missed reaching GC in years there - but my almost-Valiant baby alt account will probably struggle quite a lot.
There's just a very different feeling missing out on a piece simply because you weren't good enough to beat a particular challenge yourself (which is fair enough) vs missing out on a piece because other players with bigger accounts beat you down when you tried to reach up and grab it (which is just annoying).
