Took Blue Marvel to r4 sig 200 a few days ago, and not for prestige. I’ve used him in the abyss carina challenge, rampant aq, and some other questing since. I have been pretty impressed with his damage and safety, but also his playstyle is very fun.

I think a lot of the hate BM is getting isn’t really his fault or due to him being a bad champion. He was released around the same time as Dr Strange, JJJ, and Star Lord (SF). These are all champions that thrive in long form content, so getting many in a short period makes them all feel less valuable.

Also, we haven’t had a new Necropolis come out recently, and there is not one upcoming either, as far as we know. If there was a new Necropolis or more common long form content, I think Blue Marvel would be thriving right now. I think there’s a decent chance he’s one of the top options for the Epoch Gauntlet when that releases.

Yes upon release he seems underwhelming or unimportant, but so did many of our favorite champs. When Torch came out, few realized his potential until Lagacy highlighted it. To mention a related example, most thought Sentry was terrible after his buff, but now everyone is using him for this challenge.

I’m just saying we should see what content comes out in the near future and also give Blue Marvel time in the contest to see what he can do. He does cover some similar ground to Sentry, but he’s not an identical champ, and does unique things. It is good to have variety in new champs. Just because he isn’t amazing for competitive modes, that doesn’t mean he’s terrible or even close to it. We just don’t have a ton of new content for him to really shine at the moment.

It might be a good thing over the long run, but the initial effort was to take out stored currencies from circulation with almost no recourse. That is not the behavior consistent with efforts to keep things same or make it better.

You also cannot frame using previously earned rewards as double dipping. We could spend 15K glory or 150K BG tokens over 2-3 weeks based on the previous store formats. The trade in is just conversion of previously earned currencies, which should not be limited to trickles as they still are. Given there is a cap on essentia and store limits, there should be no cap on conversion rates.
