Re: Check This -- Battleground Crashing
Don't need to watch to know what happened.
The match end too fast, the hit was too high, it crash the game. It is known.
If you want to get through (lose) BG quickly, you need have your dex with 4* (not 2 and 1*)
Re: Team discussion for ordeal hero carina challenge
Don’t forget heimdall will be in the new titan. If you are lucky to pull him, he maybe good for a few fights and also to save a couple of revives.
Re: Let's have a genuine, honest conversation Kabam
So @Kabam (Osaurus) Rex @KabamPinwheel what about people who had to use Essentia to get raid tickets because it was already started are you guys going to give any compensation for that because you should
Future Content Strategy Question
Someone in my alliance said Kabam has turned content into homework instead of engaging content, and it rings so true. Story is the reliable thing to look forward to, an it’ll be 7 months between 9.3 and 9.4 releasing. It’s only been a few chapters since Kabam’s targets of releasing one chapter every 3 months (think that was during act 8) but we’re now tracking over double that. Act 9 will have taken from September 2024 to April 2026 to fully release. Calling that a drip feed of content is a bit lenient.
People are holding out hope for content and we seem to take anything Kabam throws at us. We’re looking forward to some carina objectives, which are literally just Kabam adding tag requirements for us to re-run old content—that’s literally it. AW showcase is fun, but it’s literally just “take the hardest defenders in high tier AW, put them on two paths, make the boss the worst of the lot (based on deaths observed in AW season) and add a tag requirement at the gate”, there’s no real design to it. The class showcases are great fun but let’s be honest, they’re regurgitated content built by the prompt “take the top defenders in X class and add them to this map”.
Ordeal was the “of pain” events regurgitated with an epic new boss. We were supposed to see Ares again, but that’s not happening. Why?
Where is the DESIGN that goes into content on Kabam’s side? Side quests have almost none of it. The story is there, and the paths might as well be random with bosses selected based on the characters the writers chose for that month, of course with new releases. The class nodes have slightly updated but barely change and they certainly haven’t kept up with the meta unless the community shouts about it on these forums.
I want to understand Kabam’s strategy for developing new content. We know they want to monetise new features like ascension and first appearance stuff, fair enough. But where is the vision for making this game worth continuing to play for another 10 years? It honestly, genuinely looks like AI could have randomly generated almost all the content we see nowadays. Outside of the horrible, browser-based mini games being thrown out way, of course.
Anyone else feel this way? Not enough focus on content and what content there is is stale on release cos we saw it before?
PS: not having a go at anyone at Kabam, I really appreciate you all. I do worry about the company’s priorities, but not any of the individuals’ intents.
Re: Team discussion for ordeal hero carina challenge
Not for this week, but for the villain weeks, I’ll be interested to see how many people use Zemo. His synergy will give all the villain champs 15% attack bonus for all fights and 30% bonus versus #heroes.
Essentia and Mysterium just ruined my account goals
I have made a lot of progress towards this goal, I complete the low rank daily quests every day, and until yesterday I would max out the T3B and T4B in the glory store and BG store to be able to keep ranking a few champs up each week.
I have a 12 mil+ account, I don't need these champs ranked, and they don't improve my progress, but I like it and it's how I want to play the game, the previous purchase limits were not game breaking, they did not give players like me an unfair advantage, I just enjoyed this and it was satisfying considering how much time I have dumped into my account.
With the update of essentia and mysterium, the maximum T3B I can now get per week is 12 (plus daily quests) and 10 T4B (plus daily quests). At this rate with the new purchase limits and changed method of gaining these lower resources, it has ultimately meant that my goal of ranking up my champs is going to take me 2-3 years longer than it was going to previously.
Some of the decisions Kabam is making recently are really destroying some of these things that make me want to play the game, and I just don't understand who is making these decisions, because it clearly isn't anyone who actually plays the game. Something has to change, because even people as committed to the game as me (literally playing since first year of the game) are starting to doubt if this is even fun anymore.
Re: Calling It Quits
Honestly I think a lot of long-time players are hitting this point with Marvel Contest of Champions. I’ve been around in MCOC since late 2017 and the game has changed a lot.
I’m not ready to quit outright, but I am stepping away from my alliance and the heavy grind. Literally just going to do content that I can autofight… for now.
Thanks for sharing your perspective @TotemCorruption, and all the best in whatever comes next outside the game.
