Thats been my biggest worry for Ascension since it was announced (although now its probably the absurdity that is the tokens system). It always felt like they were going to package in a pseudo-nerf program, i,e. making it so the champions they wish they could nerf just…coincidentally never have ascendence unlocked. Meanwhile, they're design philosophy is to make watered down versions of better, older champs by giving them kits with iso-burst in mind (kind of like when champs are designed with double edge in mind) that may seem cool in moments but are actually just extremely inflated mid kits.

Yeah I'm honestly very surprised that not a single dev thought about how grindy and p2w this **** is going to be once you get past A3. Imagine having to dupe champ 11 times for that final level? Hell naw, and the worst part is knowing my luck I will probably dupe Patriot ten times while I barely pull the others once or twice. I get that this is essentially supposed to be 8* but... It's not 8*, it shouldn't receive the same treatment as 8* because it's ascension. The main reason people didn't want 8* this soon yet was because acquiring every single champ again would've felt like a massive chore, and so what did they do? They multiplied that by 10 and made it feel like even more of a chore because now I have to pull the champ multiple **** times to even level them up. Come on Kabam, really? Who's making these decisions a toddler?

So...you was late to open and now want a compensation only for you to receive 13 Crystals

actions speak louder than words and kabams actions show that they don’t care . What other conclusion can we come up with after totally limiting how and when we can use currency that we’ve earned for years ? Why other conclusion can be made when stores were thanos-snapped into non existence without telling us they’d be removed ? What other conclusion can be made when allllll the information is finally release about ascension and it’s a huge mess?

How can you think we’d be happy with stores being removed and having no where to spend currency that we’ve earned for YEARS? How can a mod who once was on our side of the table think we’d be happy with how the essentia and ascension launch has gone? Again, actions speak louder than words and even the words (Communications and response to the backlash) from Kabam seem empty.

I don’t know what the market research was in regards to ascension… it seems to have exponentially increased the competitive spender ranks heading to the exits.

Me, who operates under that tier at the guppy level spending with no drive to be ultra competitive, took one look at ascension and wrote it off as something I don’t even have to consider for a year.. it’s not a part of my experience at all.

So was the plan to draw down the competitive spender ranks and increase the money requirement on who is left? I don’t know, but long term it looks far more stupid than even the essentia rollout.

I literally said ascension could be the start of the downfall and i wasn’t to happy with ascension.

And via my last post i post my concenrs with kabam and how they are handling this new store.

it’s logical and makes sense if you want best “value” is to spend on big sales.

i personally dont like kabam adding alot more sales throughout the year outside 4th,cyber and banquet.

i was there grinding 3 days for hercules 6* arena. I GRINDED for that top 100 spot.

Yes, with 8 stars (a new rarity) there would be rng in acquiring the champ initially, but progressing them has traditionally had way less rng.. the only rng involved in rank ups are anything class based and that's still 1 of 6 vs 1 of 30.. huge difference

To put it in perspective.. imagine there are 30 classes.. and you are opening class cat crystals (that are rare) and you need 7 of them of the correct class..

Not saying I agree with Kabam's plan, cause I don't. But the way it makes sense to me is that 7 star ascension is not ascension. It is 8 stars, but we happen to be able to use 7 star sigs and awakening gems. Its obviously more muddled that that since the rank up materials are the same for R1-R5 but then different for A2+. But that's how I understand it in my head. Then at least the rarity of it makes a little bit of sense. But I still hate that there is RNG on RNG on RNG to be able to take up such a limited pool of champs. And can totally see why a bunch of people are just done.
