It seems like they tuned the dust and class tokens for how many A2 champions they expect an average player to have for a given engagement level, but have not accounted well enough for the RNG in the regular or greater empowered crystals. Either way the amount of dust does not seem to match their stated intent of roughly 1.5 A1s per month, which also doesn't account for getting enough same champion A1s to get an A2 to use dust. As others have said, there are not enough crystals available in content to pull enough champs 3 times to use the dust for A2. The 2k dust that many people have in overflow is 4 A2s, which is 12 A1s of 4 of the SAME champions, not including all the other ones that you'll inevitably get. That's 1920 empowered crystals, assuming you only got the same 4 champions the correct amount of times using the grace system. BTW i don't think more crystals is the solution, I already have more ISO than rank up materials to use with because we now don't need ISO for the new "rarity" of champions. Never before have we had more "rank up" materials (dust, class tokens) than champions we can actually rank up even if we wanted to. The only A2s I have are Maestro and Lizard because I was explicitly awarded enough of those specific champ tokens to do so. AndrewTheRuff hit on all of this weeks ago in his goodbye video, the amount of RNG built into ascension is crazy. Never before have we had to essentially get a champion to sig 40 (traditional rank up vs ascension comparison) before we can rank them up. My first 7R5 was unawakened, it didn't prevent me from ranking him up, I only had to get him once. There is no choice for rank ups in the new rarity unless you buy enough of them, even for the base pool or super duper box. It's a completely separate discussion that for the first time, all newly released champions are not available to everyone in the new rarity from something like the titan or featured crystal (5/6 stars), earned by duping champions of the previous rarity.

I have 4850 t2 primordial dust (2350 in overflow).

I don't have any 7* that i can ascend to lvl2, and it's not like I'm hoarding empowered crystals… I opened all the empowered crystals I got from collective, but had really bad RNG… only 7* were from the guarantee grace ones, but not enough to take someone to lvl2 ascension.

So rush in through Carina challenge was designed for whales? it sucks to earn a reward that you cannot use, not now and not ever.

Oh because Netflix shut down their version of the game earlier this month?

If the license reverts back to Kabam or if they can re-aquire, maybe they could figure out a way to leverage the core of the Contest game to make it cost less to run.

Or if Kabam can add Optimus Prime and others to Contest? Transformers comics were published by Marvel and so there are comics that have transformers with Marvel characters crossing over

Unlikely to happen I know but whats more likely is that we could get the Marvel character Death’s Head in Contest. He’s a transforming robot bounty hunter!

THere is still reasons/ability to buff the store, including:

Add more t4b

add 2, 3, and 4 star sig stones

add 2 star crystals that can get non "premium pool champs" (either generic ones, or ones for the monthly event)

add a means to get 3 star thanos, and other rare low star champs

The store isn't for late game players. They changed it to be for low level stuff only. The problem really isn't the store, it's the stupid amount of mysterium we're still getting that practically can't be spent. What they need to do is replace some mysterium with essentia.

While the vouchers were a nice stopgap, they’re about to be forcibly redeemed, right? If that happens, I’m at 4810 dust.

Meanwhile I have 5 base pool champs I’ve pulled a second (but not third) time. I’ll get a grace ascension later this week, and I’ll have a 5/36 chance of being able to use 500 dust.

Can we just change the dust cap to 6000 or something so we don’t have to decide between wasting dust or ascending my 60th through 70th 6-stars?

I was elder the week of release. I’ve got a pile of ascended champs but it’s a bummer to see a valuable resource go to waste due to RNG.

Back in the 6* days, I remember someone saying don't rank 4 what you wouldnt rank 5. I think the same applies to 7* but the game has taken a suckier turn lately so have some fun because the game is moving away from it
