L as a defender, he gets absolutely dunked on by so many new science attackers. He’s a tad outdated and besides having high health, his defensive threat is pretty low.

THIS is what makes me the most frustrated with Kabam - it's not just completely stupidly overtuned attack and health stats, it's these bizarre outdated restrictions that feel like no one in the Kabam office is communicating with each other.

They say "We know we haven’t hit the mark with this quest, or our user experience in general, and we’re committed to making things right."

But they've got a Target 20 meters away and are using a seagull feather to try to hit the mark. THAT'S how off base they are. They can't even move the target closer and hope to fix this, literally everything needs to be rethunk - defenders, nodes, rewards - all of it.

If you put that context into your post, most likely you would have gotten different answers. Even still, what happened isn't an issue of matchmaking being broken. The reason you matched with someone in Gamma 2 is that when you were trying to find a match, no one between your tier and who you matched with was available for matching. This is how AW has worked for years. It's design is that you don't sit and wait for a match forever. Does it suck, sure but you're also in Gamma 3 so I can't imagine you didn't face a single roster bigger than yours on your way to gamma 3.

You're complaint was directed at the gap of your roster and your opponents. BG matchmaking does not and will not match you with rosters the same size of you, ever. At least until the baby league arrives.
