Re: My expection on Resistance doesn't match
There's nothing wrong with the math, the problem is most people don't have a good understanding of potency.
If you have 100% resistance to incinerate and something attacks you with an incinerate attack that does 1000 damage, that should ordinarily reduce that damage to zero. If the attacker has +100% fury buffs and increases that damage from 1000 to 2000, your resistance will still reduce that to zero. Resistance works the way most people would expect in that situation. "Increasing the damage" doesn't matter to resistance.
Potency is different. Good mental models that are simple are hard to find but algorithmically speaking, potency turns the same knob that resistance does. Resistance is a volume knob in the game engine that you can turn to reduce the volume of an effect. Potency turns the knob in the opposite direction, increasing the volume of that effect. It is a different knob than the knob fury effects turn. You can turn the fury knob as high as you want: if you turn the resistance knob to zero, there's no sound. But if someone turns the resistance knob to zero and someone else comes along and turns that same knob 340% in the other direction, the volume will get very loud.
Fury and resistance are, in effect turning two different knobs on two different amplifiers. No matter how high you turn the fury knob, if the resistance knob is set to zero, there will be no sound. That's how I think most people assume fury and resistance work - as two independent effects - and they are right. But they assume potency is just another kind of fury, and that's wrong. Potency and resistance fight over the same knob, one of them being the attacker and the other being the target. Potency and resistance are not independent effects. They do not take place one and then the other. They turn the same knob, and where ever that knob ends up, that's what you get.
The math is not wrong or weird. The problem is the assumption that if the resistance knob is turned all the way down to zero, that's it. You can't change anything else to make that zero no longer zero. But this presumes nothing else can come along and turn that same knob in the other direction.
Re: 20 regular titans, 4 nexus titans and got no rhino is insane
People who trash talked Rhino.on the other thread got blacklisted and got forced a bunch of Rhinos
Re: Summer deals in game offers available with Gold?
You know how much gold people have? Thats never going to happen.
Re: A Cautionary Tale Before July 4th Deals.
Same thing happened to me with a Sigil purchase. I would make another support ticket.
Re: Need Rank Up Advice - Tech, Mystic and Cosmic
Vox is the strongest of those cosmics.
Tech: Solvarch does not really, really need the dupe. Ruby wants dupe and max sig. I think Solvarch is a much more well-rounded champion. He feeds off anyone who does energy damage; Ruby will be a mutant killer but with less range outside her class advantages.
Mystic: Maddie is a top tier damage dealer in favorable matchups and she’s great against the cosmic threats. GR seems like he will be a good option in many fights but rarely (if ever) the best option compared to the rest of his class. It’s a grab bag of various utilities, none of which seem strong enough on their own to help you lock down a fight. Combine that with mediocre damage and a rotation that I personally find irritating, it’s not really close between him and Maddie.
Re: New titan why is this possible? 4 RHINOS AINT NO WAY
theres no way all titan champs have the same RNG, i mean have 2 yeah but 4? Aint no way
A Cautionary Tale Before July 4th Deals.
I wanted to share my story as a disclaimer and warning for anyone considering purchasing July 4th deals.
On May 29, 2026, my game glitched when purchasing the Platinum resulting in a double purchase. Once I realized the issue, I contacted Kabam support to see how we should address the situation. I was instructed by support to contact Apple and request a refund of one of the two passes.
Before I did, I specifically asked Kabam Support about negative credits, and I was instructed by support to move forward with the refund and that any negative balance would be adjusted off. That made sense to me, after the balance was taken off, I would have received and purchased one platinum pass.
I then moved forward with the refund, which was granted earlier today. When I contacted support about removing the automatic negative balance that was applied, I was told they wouldn’t be removing anything unless I paid an additional $25 ($50 for one platinum pass essentially). Classic Kascam bait and switch. When I asked support how I could access the second purchased platinum pass that was not refunded, they closed my ticket.
So here I stand with a negative balance and a platinum pass that I was charged for but is now-where on my account according to Kabam’s logic.
This is how Kabam treats its loyal customers. Be advised when making future purchases that Kabam will take your money without a second guess.
