They've been consistent on this issue for a very long time. If you level up a champ, then you're not getting it reversed.

No wonder we get the forums so clustered with multiple posts of the same topic at times. People don't even bother searching the forums to see if a post relating to the same subject has been created already or do a bit of scrolling really.

Part of their recent work seeming shoddy is just that they haven’t done a lot of them (again, the whole “they could’ve done more” bit), but some of the buffs that did get through were quite good. Like seriously, I think the only 2024 and onward champs to get buffed besides what you mentioned were Punk, Arcade, and Northstar. And this is my opinion, but I think all of those reworks were good successes. Punk arguably didn’t even need the help but he’s definitely better off for it, Arcade got some nice defensive and offensive buffs, and Northstar’s loop is much quicker to ramp and more consistently rewarding. None of those guys are topping the usage charts, but they are much better post-buff and not every champ should be a must-have (that’s called power creep and I’m told that’s bad). You’ll see them used decently often, Arcade especially on defense. So yeah, if you want to compare modern reworks, I’d say they’re still hitting more than missing, and I’m seeing some love for Joaquin anyways so who knows for sure.

And if you want to talk about Patriot being a bad buff, it’s a little hard to ignore that he was also accompanied by MODOK and Yondu buffs. They weren’t new champion rebalances, but they were still a result of the program and they are undeniably quite good, which drags the average up as well.

As for the “no changes”, eh. Look, I was around for Serpent, I was yelling at Kabam too, you can probably find my comments if you go back to the threads. I don’t know that I really count those things as “misses” though in the context of “is the rebalance program a good thing to have” because in the absence of the program they would be unchanged regardless. It’s not like removing the team would have meant that they’d nerf Serpent. And frankly, I think Bullseye and Enchantress are fine. I don’t think they’re unhealthy. Frustrating at times, sure, but they’re just really good defenders. And yes, I am ignoring the counters that came after their introduction. If I wanted to be particularly pedantic I could even tell you that Bullseye did actually get hit with the nerf stick (which I why I found Serpent being untouched especially egregious) but I’ll give you that it wasn’t a huge nerf so whatever.

And you are mistaken if you think I don’t also find Kabam closing the program right before Dark Phoenix and Yelena were due for a look over to be cowardly. I very much do. I sincerely doubt after Serpent that they would have been touched, but I think them essentially refusing to answer the question at all is weak. That doesn’t change the fact that I’ll still miss the buffs more than the (lack of) nerfs, and I’m disappointed that the community let SWoman get to their heads so much that Kabam got to essentially wash their hands of the issue to a mild amount of cheering.

I mean between grinding arena for banquet, battlegrounds event, general question there was already couple of other stuff to do. I think I was just very surprised - as I didn't pay extra attention to the timer I'll admit - that it finished on the 1st. And I still think this was a weird move by Kabam again to put this piece during that period. They couldn't expect everyone to be free for a 2h job on these dates. I and other alliance team mates were expected it to end on the 2nd at least 🙁

They haven't been working on just this buff for a year though, thats a mindset issue. I agree the timing window could have been shorter but they've been working on tons of new stuff so for all i know it does take that long for someone to have enough time to sit and do it.

I also the amount of changes being an issue is a mindset thing. Patriot is objectively better because he didn't need that much, and in my testing joaquin is better too
