I wouldn't call it pay to win. Sure, spending could be a tie breaker for points, but if you don't do everything, especially Raids, no amount of spending is going to catch you up.

Well, technically speaking $24,000 USD might catch you up. But even among the mega whales I suspect the number of people who will actually do that is very close to zero.

Since about a third of the realm points are in Raids, and my alliance doesn't do raids (much less Nightmare Raids which seems to be required to cap out the milestones) I'm basically out of it. But the event is still giving me a ton of rewards for basically just playing the game more or less as I normally do, so I can't be too upset. I find it ... odd that there's so much emphasis on Raids given their presumptive optional nature - and the fact they are tied to alliances, meaning individual players cannot simply choose to do them just for the event - but I suppose Kabam has its reasons there.

They are unobtainable even if you do pay, unless you also basically do everything. Normally the term pay to win refers to games where either whomever pays the most wins, or spending offers an overwhelming advantage compared to everything else. But that's not really true here, except in an essentially unrealistic extreme. Spending offers an advantage between two players who otherwise are tied in all other respects, but having an advantage between two competitors who otherwise do exactly the same things equally well is not pay to win, that is literally all competitions.

I'm sorry but if there's NO way you can place #1 without having to spend, it's called a PAY TO WIN event.

that's always been the case, even arena. you can get everything for free or pay a bunch of money to buy some time and convenience.

next week's poker game mode or whatever is going to be the same thing.

Yeah, it is almost certain that a whale will rank first on that one too, however any f2p can try to compete for that spot (again, it is extremely unlikely that a f2p will get it, but the possibility is there)
In this one you have a cap on points, meaning the only way to rank 1 is spending money

I don't think a f2p who has spent 8 hours a day grinding units in all forms since day 1 of the game, and hoarded all those units, would even be able to be close for first place. $140k USD is roughly 5 million units if you are buying namors in the webstore.

So while a f2p could technically compete, they never had a chance. I imagine some mega whales might use this event as a chance to stockpile units for Banquet so they can double dip the events with only paying money here.

Lets ease up on the all caps. I absolutely understand the frustration, trust me its not been a fun couple days on this end, but we gotta keep following the rules on the forums .

@KabamPinwheel i logged a ticket to report how I was stuck on zone 25 sector 6 of incursions, and to say that the support feedback was unhelpful is an understatement. It’s like the support staff are just ripping and pasting scripted responses, and they stuggle to answer the question/s which your ask.

Please will you guys confirm how Kabam intend to go about compensating anyone who got to zone 25 only to get stuck there because of a confirmed in-game “bug” and the final advice was to restart the mode?

Why is it expected that the players must go and do a re-run to complete all 25 nodes, a second time? My advice, offer the final zone rewards as a compensation package to people who got to zone 25 and reported the issue to you. It’s not fair and it certainly doesn’t come across at all well to just say, in a nutshell, ahhh well that’s unfortunate summoner, but you’ll have to just do the whole thing again…
