Re: Carina Challenge is the best thing in MCoC right now!
While I agree that I don't like the direction the game is going, to play devil's advocate on a content level: Is there anything truly different now compared to then?
You mention the exciting old content being from 5, 6, and 2 years ago. But is the lag time drastically different now compared to then?
For example, Now you are complaining that the last exciting content was 2 years ago (Epoch) in 2024.
But Then in 2024, the last exciting content was in 2021 (Ordeal), which is 3 years ago from 2024 - a longer lag time in excitement of 3 years compared to 2 years.
Additionally, I don't remember when the prior Carina challenges were dropped, but they also (1) Repurposed old content, and (2) There likely wasn't 'new exciting' content around the time period they dropped.
Yes, there are lots to complain about this game, and subjectively if feels like there is more to complain about this game. But I dunno if content releases and things to be excited about are drastically different compared to the past.

Corporate Counterpoint:
Repurposing sunk cost development into evergreen(ish) content during slow months is a fine way to maximize ROI.
Outsourcing game content development to unpaid interns third parties minimizes costs and frees up dev time to focus on our definitely not mcoc2 unreleased game currently in development super definitely not being funded by zombie mcoc.
Humor aside, this is not atypical of the state of gaming industry upper management mindset, and in the end everyone you interact with on this message board level answers to/ is paid by fine folks like this:

Re: Massive wave ban?
We don't comment on how most of our bans work. As has been said many times, Necropolis has anti-cheat integrated directly into it, and so far there has not been a single false ban as a result.
There is no such thing as too few items used, that's not how the anti-cheat works, but it's confirming evidence when we look at the data from a run and see that it was done without using any items. You are a clear cheater and you know it.
Re: Is the Battlegrounds VT meta actually playable?
I would go with this π
Heck make it even more interesting, auto draft for both players but from their dex but from their whole account roster, 1 and 2* and all. At least it will "unpredictable", and an "interesting" way to balance out the account size differences π€£π€£π€£.
Re: 2026 Spring Cleaning and HoF event?
July 4th sale champ: Hercules
They might even do it so the first $500 gets you the base champ and an extra $500 gets you ascension 2.0 + First Appearance.
Re: BG rewards have been secretly nerfed
The problem - and in my opinion this was a big mistake on their part - was turning off the legacy stores before launching Essentia in the rewards for in-game content. This created a situation where for a window of time the players only source of Essentia was trade-in. That created all sorts of problems, but one of them was it temporarily strangled player rewards. But that was only going to last for a relatively short period of time. Once Essentia actually launched in the game the players would get all the Essentia from in-game rewards and on top of that the trade in extras. The trade in would have been seen (at least by most players) as extra rewards on top of the normal Essentia rewards. It would be a form of double dip of currency. But as I said, the gap between launching the store and launching actual Essentia rewards changed that temporarily to be a constraint rather than a bonus. Eventually that would have changed so even if this was intended to be a permanent reward reduction it would have failed to do so. But once the initial impression was that the converted Essentia was the primary source of rewards - because for a time it would have been the only source of Essentia - it was impossible to break that impression.
One lesson that I think Kabam has never been able to learn is something I used to say in my old MMO days. You only get one chance to make a first impression. This flies in the face of the traditional game-as-a-service philosophy that boils down to the cinematic catch phrase: "just fix it in post [production]." Games as a service promote almost to the point of being a religion the idea that you can't get it right the first time, so don't try: just launch something that is "good enough" and "iterate" on it. This is not just Kabam, this is the entire industry from the CEOs to the guy working the mailroom. You're required to have this tattooed to your forehead.
It is wrong, unfortunately.
The Essentia store is actually a good thing, and it will only get better. To the extent that there are buying power issues, I think they can all be addressed, and I think in the long run they will be. It is far better for the majority of players that they can earn currency from different game modes and focus all of it on the stuff they want. If you don't like BG or don't do AQ, you're not locked out of stuff. But unfortunately, we're all going to be hearing about how the Essentia store was some conspiratorial attempt to nerf player rewards for the next ten years. People still complain - incorrectly - about the 12.0 patch. And really, while I don't think that is true, I do think this is a problem entirely of Kabam's own making. This was entirely an unforced error.
Re: List of champions not available at 7β
Yea i read it wrong the first time lol. Still true though. We're only missing a handful of champs as 7* at this point.
