Weekly Alliance Quest

I swapped allies when this dropped, when I joined (less than 24 hours into the quest) all the milestones were complete, does this mean I just completely miss out this week?

How do you get points? I've cleared all of the August special quest. I've divided the aw showcase. I know we'll get some for battle grounds and raids. It's there any way to get more? I'm stuck at 150k but i know there has to be a way to access more points
