Re: At a loss with the summoner fest event
Rank rewards make absolutely no sense in this event for f2p players. IF they finish everything and get 300k points, they get the maximum, best rewards from milestones. If they don't, they get less. Aaaall these ppl, will be in 50k-1m rank, and will get the exact same stuff.
Now the spenders, will compete for every other rank, separately.
My question is: Why don t you do a separate, spending competition, one that can someone "unlock" with the key that s named "300k points"? Everybody know the ranks are clearly p2get, there s no need to cover this aspect with a "community" type event, this is not a "community" type event, this is a "ghetto/minority inside the community" type event.

Re: Elders marks are pointless now...right?
Stuck in the middle of some kind of shift. Look at the levels up to 70, increasing marks, tokens and glory caps. What would be the point really if those currencies are on their way out.
I already feel like I miss solo event as some kind of gauge. Ally one doesn't seem to give the same excitement, at least until we start playing for radiance for ally ranks.

No way to reach 100 points in bg now that we start from diamond
I believe that ne and a lot of players not going to get the radiance from 100 points
And im not even mentioning the 200 points
All the whales are still in diamond and vibrenium and will stay in the lower points
Kabam keep doing changes that hurt a lot of players
Its not fair
At least dont put a timer on those radiance rewards

Re: No way to reach 100 points in bg now that we start from diamond
I'm not a fan of this pov tho.The radiance is there to incentivizes the whales to move up. The problem is, the radiance for monthly rewards is too high in comparison, so pushing quickly for 30k radiance isn't that enticing. If they bumped that radiance a bit it would probably be better.I got the 100 points everytime
But it's also not a reward that is meant for everyone to get or for anyone to easily get. If you get it, congrats, if you can't, oh well.
When started vibrenium 2
The change from vibrenium to diamond is a big change
Too many whales still in diamond and vibrenium and at lower points in GC
You are complaining that you didn't get the bugged v2 start this season.
Re: At a loss with the summoner fest event
I don’t want to have to leave my alliance, but my alliance doesn’t do raids, so if I want all the best rewards in this event I would need to leave the alliance I have been with for years, a place I am very comfortable with, to find an alliance that does do raids but not serious war because I am not interested in doing war. Oh and I need to do that with zero warning, having no idea how to even go about it. If I did find the right alliance I would be leaving my old alliance short handed, to join a new alliance for a month, then most likely leave that alliance to return to my original one, if they would even take me back. What a great community event!
Re: At a loss with the summoner fest event
Then have a selector like every lower milestone if that is the concern. I don’t think any account having a single tier 7 has any impact since you need three and four tier 4 alpha for a rank 4.There were knock back effects to those Events and lower Accounts having access to those. I'm with Rex on this. Anyone TB and under shouldn't have much access to T7B.So you are missing my point. All of the previous realm events let everyone contribute as much as they could/wanted to. Yes it is harder for lower accounts but they still could. A throne breaker player could have opened enough banquet crystals to get all of the rewards. A cavalier player could grind battlegrounds. This realm event restricts what players can get. Your argument is the top rewards are too good to give to lower accounts. What would they do with one Tier 7?I believe Paragon players still have access to Valiant EQ.So all players have access to the valiant EQ this month? How does a player reach the top milestone without that?If you engage with the game in all areas throughout the next two months, you'll gain points in the event.Curious more clarity for Realm event coming? soon?So this is what’s essentially replaced the Summoner Appreciation events? This really feels poorly designed as a ‘community event. This isn't replacing the "Summoner Appreciation Events."
The more players that do this, the higher the overall Milestone will get, granting everyone more rewards throughout the event.
You can reach the top milestone without spending money on the event.
There are some milestones linked to in-person announcements, etc, at Summoners Fest in November...
Is there any additional clarity you're looking for me to share?
The top milestones consist of Tier 7 Basic.
If you aren't Paragon yet, Tier 7 Basic shouldn't be naturally obtainable.
If Realm events are supposed to unite the community with a single goal, this fails because by your own admission the entire community can’t achieve the final goal.

Re: At a loss with the summoner fest event
You're absolutely right, this realm event is grindable and ftp can compete for top rankings because they don't have a set amount of acquirable points to reach. I don't know what I was thinking calling Realm Fest a pay to win event. In whatever circles you roam, I believe you. Including the fact you probably shout it out loud while you're typing it.I'm sorry but if there's NO way you can place #1 without having to spend, it's called a PAY TO WIN event. They are unobtainable even if you do pay, unless you also basically do everything. Normally the term pay to win refers to games where either whomever pays the most wins, or spending offers an overwhelming advantage compared to everything else. But that's not really true here, except in an essentially unrealistic extreme. Spending offers an advantage between two players who otherwise are tied in all other respects, but having an advantage between two competitors who otherwise do exactly the same things equally well is not pay to win, that is literally all competitions. There are ranked rewards, which will be unobtainable unless you payI wouldn't call it pay to win. Sure, spending could be a tie breaker for points, but if you don't do everything, especially Raids, no amount of spending is going to catch you up.There are 300,000 total earnable points, so yes you can reach the top milestone, even if you miss a few.Why do you make everything p2w?
Well, technically speaking $24,000 USD might catch you up. But even among the mega whales I suspect the number of people who will actually do that is very close to zero.
Since about a third of the realm points are in Raids, and my alliance doesn't do raids (much less Nightmare Raids which seems to be required to cap out the milestones) I'm basically out of it. But the event is still giving me a ton of rewards for basically just playing the game more or less as I normally do, so I can't be too upset. I find it ... odd that there's so much emphasis on Raids given their presumptive optional nature - and the fact they are tied to alliances, meaning individual players cannot simply choose to do them just for the event - but I suppose Kabam has its reasons there.
I would call that pay to win
I come from the ancient generation of game players that did not just make up new meanings for words to justify their use. Once upon a time, calling this situation "pay to win" would have gotten you laughed off the discussion boards. Of course, that was back when literacy was almost a prerequisite to even get on the internet, since you needed to at least be able to read instructions to do so.
By the way, there is literally no possible avenue by which a Chess player can become the FIDE world champion without spending money. Therefore, Chess is a pay to win competition.
I'm sure someone more knowledgeable can figure out a way to rack up those points without spending. Maybe you can share some of that wisdom so that we can make it happen.
Once upon a time, the idea that Earth had a sphered shape got people laughed off including Pythagoras and Aristotle... little did they know.
