iirc the joke was something along the lines of "he steals their armor because he might be able to trade it for a few units." If it was "he gets units directly from stealing armor" I could see a problem, but seriously he's an interplanetary pirate that steals people's **** and then laughs about it. Read the whole sentence and learn a thing or two about context so next time you understand when Kabam cracks a joke about a character's personality traits. How are people so offended by this, seriously.

Because Units are an in-game resource. That's why it was taken seriously by me and others. If it said to get a few dollars or some parts for a ship or something, it would be fine. But it said he might be able to gain in-game resources, which is where people got the idea from. I get that he's a space pirate, but it should never say that he or anyone else can earn things that are actual in-game resources.

I didn't realise they used dollars in space... oh of course they don't! The currency they use is, wait for it, units!
I'm sorry but anyone that genuinely thought that a character could generate the games premium currency through something as simple as stealing armour is a tad dumb.
It was obvious it was a jokey reference to yondu being a ravager that goes around stealing things, I for one spotted it was just a nice little joke the moment I read it, as I'm sure most others did.
omg smh "can't fix stupid" of all the things to complain y'all are mad about a obvious joke in a space pirates description lol Kabam give plenty of free units for game play I grinned out over 5000 units last month quit whining

It's not giving out units, it's an ability that gives units. That's what it sounded like.
I appreciate the jokes. Some of you guys need to lighten up and stop taking things so seriously. It's a free-to-play mobile game. Relax.
If the game puts something in the description of how a character works, people are bound to take it seriously. We can't be blamed for believing what the company says.
Even if there is just ONE stupid person out there who believes it (and there are a lot of stupid people out there), then it's NOT funny.
Even if something is common sense, there will be at least one person out there with zero common sense.
I think that ONE person was you and you're angry about it. Well you and crusher anyway. It's obviously a joke. Lighten up...

It's a pretty bad joke. No one laughed about Kabam saying a character could earn an In-Game resource when he can't.

A lot of people did. Why do you think the overwhelming majority in this post are telling you to calm down and relax. Poor guy, you're all wound up...

Actually, I'm quite calm. I just want the wording changed. Many people like me thought that he earned units. Many like me don't check the forums. Many that do check the forums probably missed this thread. A very small amount of people who think he earns units have found this thread. Those people are going to wonder why they aren't getting units. It'll be better if Kabam just reworded it. It could just say to earn some money on the side or something, but referencing to units, which are used in game, causes confusion.
i think the main problem here is that Kabam assumed their player base all had a respectable level of intelligence, clearly they dont spend enough time on the forums amongst the minority of entitled whiners in tin-foil hats.

Guess what? Using Yondu DOES make you units. All champs do! Play arena. Get Battle Chips open arena crystals.... voilà! UNITS!
You know that that's not we're talking about. The description of attacks stated he might trade stolen armor for units. No one knew what this meant, but many assumed that it was a valid statement, since there has never ever ever ever ever EVER been a "joke" about what the character actually does inside his ATTACK description.
This has to be a troll. It has to be. How do you not understand flavor text? It's a basic game concept in literally every game ever. I can't believe you two actually take this amount of offense to what was quite easily seen as a joke.
Units are an In-Game resource, which is why it was misinterpreted. By saying a character might be able to earn units, you are guaranteed to have people get confused.
Yondu does make units when he steals armour but he keeps hold of them and doesn't share what you need to do is sell him and then all the ones he's earnt so far get passed to you

By the way, why I am being flagged for spam? If people question me, I'm going to restate my opinion. It's not spam. Stop reporting it. If it is spam to repeat your opinion, then all the other people talking should also be flagged. But they aren't, so I shouldn't be, either.
Not to sound negative, but what champion in the entire game generates units/gold/shards other than what is awarded in milestones and rank rewards?
None. This was taken as a new concept on a new character. A 50% chance to gain one unit per fight where Armor Break is dealt or something along those lines would generate units at a decent rate, but wouldn't be overpowered. Anyway, I'm out of the discussion. I'm starting to get reported for only God knows why, so I'm gonna take my leave and let my account out of the heat of the flag button. I respectfully disagree with the majority of you, and would appreciate not being called moron, idiot, and gullible. Thank you in advance. Goodnight all.
The one time kabam decide to add a little flavour text to add more depth to a character by referencing that he's a ravager that is just out to make some units (the actual currency used in the galactic part of the marvel universe) and it's potentially going to be ruined because some people can not grasp that NO CHAMPION WILL EVER BE ABLE TO GENERATE THE GAMES PREMIUM CURRENCY.
You wonder why you're being reported for spam, well it's probably because you're just spamming the same idiotic argument over and over again, he was never going to generate units, ever.
Now stop trying to get something changed and just accept that any somewhat intelligent person understood that it was a little joke/reference to his character even if you did not.
Did you also get upset that you couldnt actually trade ISO for units in The Collectors vending machine?
If the map description said "After winning a fight, you might be able to cut a deal with the Collector at his vending machine!" then we would've. It's a completely different scenario.

Now you're calling my IQ into question. You know nothing about me. I have an estimated IQ of over 130, which is considered "superior intelligence". If you are reporting me for spam when I repeat my argument, why aren't you reporting literally everyone else as well? It doesn't matter if the argument is correct, they're repeating it, which is spam by your definition.

It's. Flavor. Text. Every game uses it. Stop complaining about non-issues. If you seriously thought that Yondu would make units for you by stealing armor, I have a bridge to sell you.
I apologize for believing something that was stated in his description of attacks. I should've known never to believe something which has been credible since the game's release. How dare I assume anything that is specifically stated? Look, I realize that he doesn't steal units by now, but many don't. Even if I am an idiot, which I'd like to say I'm not, there are a lot of idiots out there who will think he gets units. There is a valid argument for both sides at this point. Kabam seriously needs to just say "which he may be able to sell on the side during his down time". If they don't use the name of an in-game resource, then no one will think he can get that in-game resource.
