Why are we know being charged for taxes when we purchase an item? I purchased a $50.00 Google card for $49.99 item in game to be told I didn't have enough funds to cover it. Kabam charges are to high as it is already. Now we're having to pay taxes on in-game purchases. It seems like weren't getting charged coming & going for items that already are priced to high on a game with so many issues it's almost impossible to play. I have made my last purchase until this is resolved. I now understand why so many players have stopped playing. I simply don't understand how a company can just can rules without feeling like they should info the players, which Kabam does so often. It's extremely dishonest & beyond shady.

All prices are the same, and in U.S. Dollars. It's the platforms that apply Taxes and Duties, and they can vary depending on Country, Region, State, etc. It's locally applied, not through Kabam.

Then why weren't we charged in the beginning? When I started playing, I NEVER once paid tax, not once. It didn't start until sometime this year.

Probably due to new policy for games on certain stores

Kabam lists a price an that listed price should be exactly what we pay for an item as for as I'm concerned.

The payment goes to Kabam but the store the game is on takes some of it so kabam puts on a small extra tax for it to even out I think

There must have been local Taxes and/or Duties applied recently. It all depends on where you live and what the local legislation is. Kabam doesn't add Taxes. Apple or Google add them based on your area.

Read what's in the thread. Most likely due to new policys on the store the game is on, which Kabam heeds to to keep the game on there. Either that or a new law has passed somewhere

This makes no sense to me. Google doesn't tax me for any other games& never has.

From you - The payment goes to Kabam but the store the game is on takes some of it (so kabam puts on a small extra tax for it to even out I think). So on top of the charge from Kabam, then what tax we get charged, Kabam added a little extra to make up for what the store takes. Boy, that's not ripping us off or taking advantage of us at all! Oh no! What a joke!

No. Kabam's prices are the same for everyone, and they are not taxed. The platforms add Taxes.

Lololol! Not at all. Kabam makes all prices the same. No Tax. Apple and Google add Taxes and Duties. Some places don't Tax. My area for example. Some areas of the world do. Those Taxes are applied by Apple and Google, and Kabam doesn't get that money.

It might help to look up the policy your State has on Digital Purchases. Perhaps they've changed their prices.

Myself & many others are upset not only with the tax issue whether it's Kabam's fault or not. It just one more thing to do with this game that was once loved. Now the game is plagued with so many issues that never fully get addressed. It's beyond frustrating. It angers me that a company that makes so much off players doesn't value us enough to actually fix the gamem. Then Kabam overcharged for in-game items & the deals aren't anywhere near deals. I'm saddened everyday because this game has lost it's appeal. I use to recommed it to everyone I met. I don't anymore& haven't for sometime. It's not fun anymore. If Kabam doesn't change its ways & fix the game it will lose another player. Although, losing me won't matter much. But one day they will drive enough people away if they continue practicing business the way they do.

There are several really good threads out there regarding Taxes (which are State taxes in the US), differences between Currencies for those in different countries, etc, and also include Kabam's replies in those threads. I suggest you search and look at those threads (at least one was even very recent), instead of creating a new thread like this without having the facts.

I agree with you Diablos. The game just isn't what it once was. The biggest movie in Marvel comes out and what does Kabam do, nothing. They can't seem to fix their game. And charging us more & more & taking/stealing as much money as they can from us by bad deals, lag & other issues seems to be their main objective.
