We predicted that the balance updates will serve more to nerf champions than to make them better. Cull is not that great of a champion, he has terrible block profiency and sustainability and most people do not use him for end game content. I don't know why this was ignored with your message but you should add block prof before you touch his attack strength. That would be the proper balance but all it seems that will be effected is his damage which will cause an uprising and will definitely effect crystal purchases in the future.
It might already start to hurt crystal sales now that the direction this is going in has been confirmed.
Cull defensive abilities are very lacking. Are you guys gonna improve him for defense because he’s a really bad defender? If you nerf his offensive abilities, you should probably think about the defensive side of the champion too since your doing it for other reworks like Maw or Human Torch. Maw is a good defender but a bad attacker, he gets an offensive buff. Cull is a good attacker but a bad defender, he gets a defensive buff, seems logic to me!
These types of changes should only go ONE WAY. The champs being “tuned” should only get BETTER, never worse. In business the customer should never get LESS than what they originally paid for. If the company made a mistake on their product, it’s their job to make sure the customer gets the same or MORE than what they paid for. Simple.
Why are you happy with Ronin and people are not? What did you see that they didn’t?
Probably because when people use him, they win and don't take a ton of damage. He looks cool so Kabam probably made more than they thought they would off his crystals. Of course people only use him in fights against bleed susceptible opponents that can be ruthlessly dominated. I don't want to use him anywhere that I might be even slightly disadvantaged since you have to do all that dashing in and out to ramp him up.
I will NEVER buy another featured crystal again. I was on the fence about that decision. You, Kabam, have just made it for me. You just went from getting at least a couple hundred bucks a month, from me, to getting MAYBE $10/month for the Sigil. Maybe.
Look kabam... you can’t keep changing key factors and champions like this, it’s become a bit of a joke now, first she hulk, then medusa and now this with cull, players are suffering because you don’t test your game properly, we pay for the mistakes that you make, we spend months grinding, saving for featured hero crystals to get these desired champions that you say yourself are rare to come by, you’re crystal drops are awful, we have to wade through god knows how many bad champions before we get a decent one... and when we do... you go and nerf them? Honestly you’ve become a laughing stock to your community. There’s no point in us getting our hopes up for decent champs anymore... because well you’re just ruin it lol
I'm expecting about 200k 5star shards, rank down tickets and 99 cosmic sig stones.
Cull, as he is right now is a mistake I made. I'm responsible for all that and given what I got I decided to simply play him as a (mediocre) prestige play.
But if YOU touch that I sure got my reasons to want it all back. Damn, I'll take any excuse to rollback this.
Why don't you do a full analyzis of the champ instead of just looking at the dps? How much does it cost people to use him? How frequent is he used in aw/aq?
Given how you need to play him he's the glassiest cannon of all glass cannons MCOC have seen.
Please just wreck him and gimme my stuff back. I'd be happy. Thanks
WTF? Cull only has damage going for him, he has ZERO utility and and his block proficiancy is almost non existant? Sorry kabam, but if you think Ghost is balanced and Cull is overpowered maybe take a proper look at the mess of a game of yours. This is NOT okay .
if they think Cull damage is too much wait until they tune Ghost and her synergies and also Corvus I can see the outrage this is 12.0 all over again but this time they're doing it little by little instead of one shot, so with this in mind why even bother spend on crystal or waste time to pull a champ rank him or her up just to hear yeah that champ you love so much is not working as intended in 3 months we are going to make that champ into iron patriot.
All he has going for him is the damage. No immunities no block prof. If you take away his attack and least give him bleed immunity like CG. Can’t just screw people over.
@Kabam Miike This could be an interesting approach for future nerfs: reduce some value (max attack?) but give something back (block proficiency? immunity?)
If this game had resources that were more easy to attain then whatever, do all the "adjustments" you want but it takes forever to get t2a and t5b to r5 a champ.....not even going to get into r2 a 6*.
You plan on improving resource gains at all to compensate for the ever changing champions you have people investing in?
Sorry guys are you being serious? We are spending resources and real money on a champs that the only think he has is damage. No immunities, no block proficiency. I used at my cull awakening gem, resources to rank him to r5 and all the sig stones from the 4th of july. And i dont count the spend of 400$ to his crystals. I am serious if you are going not to give us the resources back i will communicate with apple. This is not a behavior of a serious company.
Unfortunately @gp87 , this is why they put in their new policy on refunds. You can take it up with apple and then you basically won't be able to use units or play the game in any meaningful way. There is a reason that policy was put in before they started messing with our champs.
There is also a reason those first two champs were being 'buffed' which was to make this new process seem palatable. Going forward I expect nothing but nerfs of good champions and then minor tweaks to terrible champs that still leave them terrible to make it seem like they are doing it both ways.
Kabam. If you nerf Cull you must pay back my money which I spend for featured cavalier Cull crystal beacuse I can bet at you nerf him very hard. Thats a busnies rules. I paid so I demand. You just rob me from thing which I bought.
We don't know what changes are coming yet, so let's just wait and see. All we know is he's out damaging other Champs as shown in the data. Which you can easily see, regardless of how hard people say the ramp-up is.
Oh so you have access to the data? Please do share. Is this the same data that shows Doctor Strange after the changes was a viable and useful champion in the game? With all that insider data, we should all listen to @GroundedWisdom he clearly knows how the end game data is being collected.
Kabam, do you not understand that doing stuff like this is only going to hurt your bottom line in the long run? Money is what you guys care the most about, and fine, you're a for-profit company, I expect that, but this is just mind-numbingly idiotic. Look at this issue with the perspective of anyone that has ever taken even a semester of economics, if you consistently change the value of a product after customers have purchased it (for a lot of money in your guys' case) for the worse, then people are going to stop purchasing your products. A lot of people paid a lot of money for Cull and now you guys are, once again, nerfing him and making him worth considerably less than his original purchase price. Pretty soon, people aren't going to purchase featured crystals for new champions or go for them in arenas because they know that you will just change the character in three months and totally devalue their purchase. There is a really simple remedy for this: Test your champions in all aspects of the game before you release them. Don't wait until after the community has got the champion to see if they have any bugs or aren't performing to your standards because that is just going to hurt your business in the long run. I love this game and I want to continue playing it for years to come, but your current method of running this game just takes more and more time off the life of the game.
Before we start going off on any tangent or conspiracys here, let's just wait. We should look at what happens to the annilius and human torch adjustments first before we declare that cull will be needed into oblivian. We basically have no clue if these adjustments will even mean anything at this time.
This feels like a pivotal moment in this game for me. If you take Cull and gimp his damage without adding to his utility and ability to survive, then I will forever regret spending my hard earned money getting him. And I certainly won’t trust you in the future to invest further in the game.
Even if you retract this Cull announcement or hand out RDTs I think the damage is already done. There’s so much uncertainty surrounding this game it is no longer enjoyable. So terrible.
