Do y'all start your fights with a parry or by simply hitting the opponent? Never seen anybody use this tactic in vids. Like, the fight starts and I simply rapidly tap and use a light attack before the AI can react. Saves me a parry (not that I use them throughout the fight anyway).

    Two updates ago the AI was changed to start the fight ever so slightly slower which gives you the light attack advantage to start.

    No not AW, when the opponents have parry mastery you don't do this.
    Exactly! Do this in AW and you will eat a 5 hit combo every time. EVERY time.
    AW is literally the only place I start the fight with a parry. (Until this post, I assumed everybody was doing it. It's super consistent. Just be aware that you are only allowed a 4 hit combo tho.).

    If you get hit, it's a spacing issue. Just tap the screen one step earlier.
    You don't have to spam tap either. Just one tap right before they reach the distance of your arm's full extension.
    Works in Variant, Act 6, and especially AQ. Everywhere but AW.

    Then the opponent immediately dexes and hits you while you're in your attack animation - Parry is more safe
