He should be immune to all physical damage. It can't hurt him and never has. Takes no damage from incinerate, but the effect still applies himself. Sandman's main weakness is fire, so 3+ stacks of incinerate should take away his resistance and make him very vulnerable to all attack. Energy damage should inflict 2 second stuns, like how Shocker's blasts were revealed to keep Sandman from forming in Spectacular Spider-Man.
The community says Doom, Apocalypse, Galactus, Silver Surfer, and Sandman are the highest priorities. A few champs I'd like to see (among many) include Spider Woman, Dazzler, Mandarin, Squirrel Girl, and Morbius. Didn't I mention your favorite? There are more than 500 champs who need votes on this list. Your suggestion is probably already there, waiting for your vote. If it isn't, you can add it.
Question about Ranker and this system, If you've submitted a character, can you edit that character? I submitted on several months ago but did not think to add synergies or possible abilities. Is that something that can be added afterward?
Bio - Korvus Rook’Shir is a member of the alien Shi’ar race, and a direct descendant of a Phoenix Force Host who had wielded the universal power through a giant blade, called the Blade of the Phoenix, and with it had devastated much of the vast Shi’ar Empire. Eventually this Phoenix Force Host was defeated at the hands of the Shi’ar Imperial Guard, and the Blade of the Phoenix was severely de-powered. Although only a fragment of the Phoenix’s power remained in the Blade, both the destruction it had caused to the Shi’ar Empire and the power it still possessed were so great that the mad Emperor D’Ken ordered every relative and descendant of the Phoenix Host eliminated so the Blade could never be lifted again, as it would only move when grasped by a blood relative of the original Phoenix Host. Korvus Rook’Shir survived the massacre of his entire bloodline only to live out his adolescence as a slave to the Shi’ar Vice-Chancellor K'tor, who only sought to keep Korvus alive to be used later as a weapon for his own personal gain. When the X-Men entered Shi’ar space with the intent of stopping Vulcan on his quest for vengeance against the mad Emperor D’Ken, K’tor released Korvus and gave him the Blade of the Phoenix to put an end to the Mutant threat. After nearly defeating the X-Men, the residual Phoenix Force in the Blade allowed Korvus and Marvel Girl to have a meeting of the minds, and Korvus was convinced to aid the X-Men in opposing Vulcan and the Shi’ar Empire. After D’Ken was deposed, Korvus joined the Starjammers and vowed to used the Blade of the Phoenix, which had once caused so much destruction, to protect the weak and innocent.
————————————————————— Signature Ability - “Descendent of the Phoenix” - Whenever Korvus Rook’Shir would gain a Phoenix Fragment Charge, he has a 30-80% chance, based on Signature Level, to Purify and Convert all Active Debuffs into additional Phoenix Fragment Charges. This Ability is Passive and is Immune to Ability Accuracy Modification.
Unique Ability - “Phoenix Fragment Charges” - Whenever Korvus Rook’Shir loses 10% of his Maximum Health, he gains 1 Phoenix Fragment Charge. A Phoenix Fragment Charge is a Passive Buff which carries no effect until consumed. Korvus Rook’Shir can hold no more than 10 Fragment Charges at any given time. If he were to acquire a Phoenix Fragment Charge beyond this limit, the Phoenix Force residing in his sword instantly Regenerates 2% of Korvus Rook’Shir’s Missing Heath Meter.
Basic Attacks & Animations - Basic Attacks - Copies the animations of Guillotine’s Basic Attacks.
Heavy Attacks - Similar animation to Red Skull’s Heavy Attack. Korvus raises the Blade of the Phoenix above his head and points it down towards the ground. Korvus maintains this position while Heavy Attack Charging. When Korvus releases his Heavy Attack, he plunges the Blade of the Phoenix into the ground, resulting in a localized explosion of cosmic fire that knocks opponents to the ground. Successfully landing this Attack converts 1 Phoenix Fragment Charge into an Active Fury Buff, which raises Korvus Rook’Shir’s Attack by 10% for 5 seconds.
Blocking - Korvus Rook’Shir uses his massive sword to deflect his opponent’s attacks. The sheer size of the Blade of the Phoenix as well as its cosmic nature grants Korvus a 65% chance to Perfect Block all Energy Attacks. Well-timed blocks have a 75% chance to inflict an Incinerate Debuff on the opponent, dealing 10% of Korvus Rook’Shir’s Attack as Direct Energy Damage over 4 seconds.
Special 1 - “Big Honkin’ Sword” - Korvus Rook’Shir kicks his opponent back to creating a little distance between them. With the Blade of the Phoenix positioned behind him following the kick, Korvus Rook’Shir rushes at his opponent, dragging the Blade of the Phoenix along the ground behind him in a trail of cosmic fire. When he reaches his opponent, he knocks them off their feet with a massive upwards slash that destroys his opponent’s Armor. This Attack has a 100% chance to inflict an Armor Break Debuff on the opponent, reducing their Armor Rating by 50% for 8 seconds. Activating this Attack grants Korvus Rook’Shir 1 additional Phoenix Fragment Charge.
Special 2 - “Ashes of the Phoenix” - Korvus Rook’Shir twirls the Blade of the Phoenix around himself in a vortex of cosmic fire. Similar animation to Magik’s Special 2 Attack. This Attack consumes up to 3 Phoenix Fragment Charges upon activation, based on how many Charges are available. For each Phoenix Fragment Charge that was consumed, 1 Incinerate Debuff is placed on the opponent. Each Incinerate Debuff deals 45% of Korvus Rook’Shir’s Attack as Direct Energy Damage over 4 seconds. If Korvus Rook’Shir’s opponent is Immune to Incinerate, and Phoenix Fragment Charges were consumed upon this Attack’s activation, then every hit from this Attack is Guaranteed to be Critical.
Special 3 - “Last of a Bloodline” - Korvus raises the Blade of the Phoenix high in the air, allowing the Phoenix Force within to be released. Korvus’s opponent stops, blinded by the light of the Phoenix’s emergence. As his opponent shields their eyes, Korvus points the Blade of the Phoenix directly at them and unleashes the Phoenix Force in a directed blaze of cosmic blue fire. This Attack consumes all Phoenix Fragment Charges and Ignites the Blade of the Phoenix for 8 seconds. While the Blade of the Phoenix is Ignited, all Attacks deal an additional 15% of Damage Dealt as a Burst of Direct Energy Damage. This effect stacks up for each Fragment Charge that was consumed by his Special 3 Attack. While the Blade of the Phoenix is Ignited, Korvus cannot gain Phoenix Fragment Charges.
