I always do. I feel someone took the time to write them, I'm going to read them. (This is the first run through only of course.) They're not always great, but there's sometimes some very clever ones.
I follow them all. All the EQs tie together in a large overarching story and i dont like missing parts of it. First run through i observe the story 100%. The guilly 2099 eq is one of my favorites. i skip it on succeding exploration runs though.

On my first run of the EQ I always read it it’s usually quite a fun read

I was just thinking about this. I know I’m in the .000000001% of people who HATE all of the extra tapping required to get through anything in the game.
I was changing my daughters diaper and tapped to move forward, just to look back because the next spot was a speech bubble, then again, then to the next fight.
^Insert anything else anyone else is trying to do while getting a few fights out of the way.^
I get the someone put a lot of time and effort to make a great story, and the majority LOVE the story.
What about an auto play, like the auto fight. Except this would move you along the quest as long as you have the energy. It would auto fight and not require a tap for after the fight.
This would also be meant for the easier difficulties.
I always read the storyline during my initial Uncollected run through, there are so often some absolute gems in the dialog that deserve to be appreciated.
These lines from the EQ when Gulk was released are particular favourites of mine:
Used to I guess but now I’m always in a rush to smash through the content given how far behind the difficulty is compared to the rest of the game. It’s basically just a button bash now, so yeah. Nah.
I’ve always read them on my initial clears, it’s usually one of the things I look forward to most with each new every quest. It’s always particularly good when Spider-Man or Deadpool are involved, some of the valentines ones were pretty funny.

I enjoy the story but only once. Should be able to tap through a SP3 as well.
