Why are defenders able to evade mid-heavy after stun?

Fighting in 6.4.4 right now, Spider Gwen is the oppo. 20% limber node countered with full Domino trinity.

Parry, begin heavy. First hit of heavy makes contact while Gwen is stunned, and Domino gets ready to throw the grenade. Stun expires while I’m in the middle of heavy animation. Gwen evades the second hit of my heavy and immediately counters, now I’m dead.

Why is this a thing?

Think it’s a bug, happens everywhere though.
They don’t evade specials after being stunned

It happens quite a bit with champs like Spidey especially on a limber node. Not saying it should happen, I don't think it should, but don't think it's considered a bug either. Sort of a sucky interaction between a few things happening all at once.

How is it a bug? If Spider Gwen isn't stunned, she has a chance to evade. Limber reduces stun duration. While stunned the first hit doesn't lock the defender into place and when stun wears off they are just in normal mode.
@Demonzfyre Wait, so have u ever been able to evade (passive or dexterity) after being hit with the first part of a multiple hit heavy then counter during & before that heavy finishes? I never have or seen it from any ally. Not certain if it's bugged, intended or not, but if the AI can do it, shouldn't we too?

@Pbb22 I don't know why it's a thing. I don't get how NC or Gwen still evades IWIMs repulsors on Challenger Map, Path 3, Tier 2 in AWar on enhanced evade node since his description says repulsors "can't" be evaded. There isn't a % on repulsors & the node enhances the ability accuracy of evade by 40%. That's not including when they evade 1 hit in a combo & counter or throw a SP to ur face in between the next hit in a combo. You should hit them after the "evaded" hit. That would be 2 moves in 1. It's happened to me w/IWIM evading his 1st L & throwing a SP or countering before his 2nd L. Now even if we could "auto evade" & counter mid combo, I don't think any of us humanoids have the speed to register that & throw a SP before or at the same time as their next hit.
@Ahitlaw @SummonerNR @Whathappened I agree it does happen & sucks. But Kabam should at least respond, explain or "fix" this. That would give us the same ability,...but just like casinos, the odds are not in our favor, tie doesn't go to us & the house ultimately wins. Lol

@KeepinItReal I'm not talking about dexterity. Neither human or A.I can dex or dash once they've been hit from a multi hit medium or heavy attack. Example- Domino's medium and heavy attacks. When Domino hits the defender with the first hit they are "locked" into a stunned position and can't activate abilities.

When you parry a defender they are stunned from a non contact hit and there is a timer on the stun. When the timer ends the defender can activate evade abilities. This happens more with limber since it reduces stun duration.

So to answer your question, as an attacker we can't do this since limber is only a defender node and doesn't affect attackers. You can adjust mastery's to help but it won't be as effective as limber would be.

Hey there, as others have mentioned, once a Stun has worn off, Evade abilities can activate as normal. This works the same for players as well. If a player was using Spider-Gwen and got hit with a Stun, she would have a chance for her Evade ability to activate during attacks after that Stun wears off, even if it was part of a Heavy Attack.

Not sure if I agree. I’ve played enough and notice after a stun all champs seem to evade more often. Percent is higher.

Because it would make them much harder to fight...

Thanks for replying @Kabam Zibiit . I understand that scenario can happen, especially to long multi hit heavies (Cull, Hyperion, etc) This isn't a "new", but many new champs that shouldn't be evaded have been "fixed" (Stealthy vs IWIM, etc) The problem is when/if Spideys/Evade champs evade mid combo or during a SP,...we still can't hit or throw a SP quick enough before the next hit. So we get combo'd in the face. Other issue & why Gwen can't auto evade if blocking is bc when auto evade procs trying to Parry, u can get clipped by their next hit in that combo bc after the evade, the champ has to stop/reset in order to Dex, hit or throw a SP. So us humanoids struggle to register that & respond. Even if we're quick enough, unlike the AI we get hit w/the next hit. So how does the AI auto evade then counter or throw a SP before our next hit? Its happened with IWIM alot & why some allies don't like using auto evaders. When learning how to build poise with Starky I noticed this & so have others. He evades the 1st hit, back flips, then u get clipped by the AIs 2nd hit in the combo. Now it can be Dex'd, Parry'd but NEVER seen an ally intercept w/a SP in between/before that hit. I'm sure it's possible if specifically making a video to "prove" it's possible.Ha Yet in normal gameplay looking at buffs, abilities, ur buffs, debuffs, timers & local nodes it's highly unlike a humanoid can counter like this. Not talking about countering the last hit in their combo or them auto evading during a heavy after stun ends. But that we're too slow too,...well at least I am. Lol

That's a possibility. Another contributing factor may be the reaction speed of the A.I. I don't know if anyone else has noticed, but it's quite high. It's knee-jerk. Mind you, I'm just coming out of retirement, but it's been able to snap back, Block as soon as I get to it, Intercept every Heavy that's not started with a Parry, just crazy A.I. overall. Then again, I'm pretty rusty still. I forgot small things like my Arena Synergies I always use. Lol.
