His SP2 playstyle is just terrible bc it is build in RNG. If you want to keep them in the corner you need to be a bit lucky that they hold block. 2 dashes at you and you can fix them in the corner in 1 go.
It feels clunky and not very smooth. Also sometimes my 2nd heavy missed even when I perfectly hit the Sp2 in the corner.
Yes he does more damage that your average champ. Utility is only armor up, shock + hard to get off powerdrain (its a strong powerdrain I know)
People get wowed by big yellow numbers against a 4* champ (RoL WS)who does nothing special and poses no threat. In later game content HB will be a way down the line option. Nobody with sense is going to be clamoring for him in Act 6/7 or Abyss. He's great in the absolutely ideal matchups but for general gameplay he's meh. I wouldn't even put him as a Top 10 tech in this form and that's really disappointing
Exactly, take him into rol or another generic matchup and yeah, he’s great, but take him into something that’s a real challenge and he isn’t doing much, not a champ I’d pick over most current tech gods for any matchup really
I think his r2 mechanism is alot like massacre. It will play better against better content where they are blocking more. Before you knock it try it against act 6 where ai plays more defensive and is in block more often. Its the same feeling I have with massacre. Bad against easy opponents and much better against tougher content. Its not that hard to get the sp2 off and then heavy chain in corner and repeat
Is it not a vast improvement over the previous version? So sick of this community **** over EVERYTHING. It takes away from the instances where we complain about stuff that truly needs to be changed when you moan and cry over every little aspect of the game.
They were given TONS of feedback on the beta. They implemented none of it. For all the hype and build up it's a massive disappoinment.
Here's my Top 10 techs, would love to get thoughts on which if any he is better than:
Ghost Warlock Stark Spidey Guilly 2099 Darkhawk Sentinel Mysterio OG Vision Iron Man IW Doc Oc
I’d put him above vision and maybe darkhawk and imiw, he’s not that bad of a buff, I agree it could have been a bit better but he’s better than those
Visions full immunities and easy power control win the day for me there. Darkhawk is so much more versatile, especially with the NT synergy, being multi-immune, great regen, easy to access power control and really good damage in Null Mode. IMIW with a few plasmas and his tankiness when at low health make me like him more but he's the least of the three mentioned for sure.
His play style takes alot to get used to took me a while in beta. But so does ghost and alot of other champs. But his damage output is way better then half of those 10 tech champs u listed. I'd take him over vision, iron man iw, dh, mysterio, and sentinel. None of them have even close to the damage output hb has once u get him down.
Love all the disagrees without a single response as to how what I said was wrong 🤔
Probably because we all knew exactly what his rework consisted of for months. And since he has been released identical to the beta version, this is not anything new to anybody.
Who hyped it up? You? Who built it up? You? Every rebuild shouldn't have the expectations that they're going to be a god tier, game breaking champion. Re: beta feedback, whens the last time Kabam took any good feedback to heart and implemented it? Rarely. Not sure why you thought this time would be any different. Hulkbuster is worlds better than he used to be and will be a very helpful addition to those who haven't 100% Variant 2 & 3. He hasn't even been out for more than 2 hours and people are all crying and moaning. Get a tissue, learn his rotation, get more experience playing him. If he's not your bag, there's a ton of other champs you can play and rank.
He is for all intents and purposes the same champ we all played around with in the beta. Stop with that "he's only been out two hours" stuff. We said in beta that his heavy was still atrociously short and impractical and that the resistances should apply to suicides/nodes. Neither were taken in to account. He's the same champ now with a few niche uses. He's a grinder through maybe Act 5 but that's about the extent of his use.
When you poll the community and take this long to make the changes, there is an expectation that is set. We wanted a champ who is worthy of max rank or at least had ok prestige. He is neither.

Cull Obsidians damage is way greater than those champs too, but nobody uses him for end game content or AQ/AW. There's a reason, damage isn't the end all be all of this game.
C'mon HB just get an update like less than 2 hours and you already jump to conclusion with such dramatic that he's meh, give him some time to demonstare his full potencial

Again, he's essentially identical to the beta which we got to play for a week. It's not like he was radically changed post feedback. In fact, the only change is slightly more shock damage which wasn't really a concern of anybody.
Imo the buff is fine, the problem is that expectations got blown way out of proportion because of the 9 month wait. When I saw his weird playstyle of spamming heavies and breaking blocks with his SP2 I decided he wouldn’t be for me and held off on preemptively using a 2015 rank up gem on him. A decision I’m very happy with now that vision AoU (my personal favourite power control champ) is likely joining the 5* pool.

I think he is just a better Hawkeye
Ghost
Warlock
Stark Spidey
Guilly 2099
Darkhawk
Sentinel
Mysterio
OG Vision
Iron Man IW
Doc Oc

Thats seatins take and it is pretty much the same that I experienced during the beta.
