All characters can be mind controlled, that’s not what’s up for debate here. What is being debated is it’s potency against psychic shielding champs. You claim this doesn’t affect Magneto but in fact it does, judging by the screenshots below. I don’t know how to screen record which is why I screenshot, and the reason I have a hp difference is because while trying to screen shot, Magneto got me in a combo.

Technically most, if not all, of these psychic shielding champs along with robots should be immune to mind control. However, instead of making matchups that completely take away Xavier’s mind control, they instead decided to make it so that his power retention is less potent against these champs. All these psychic shield interactions are in accordance with the comics, it’s just that I guess they decided it was better to decrease Xavier’s power retention in these matches instead of flat out preventing him from activating mind control.
