More than once I have decided to reset my masteries and recovered a tree and then stupidly set it up exactly as it had been, only to have to repeat this and waste another 60 units.
using mags against colossus. I look at him, I think "that's a big hunk of metal", and then I consciously click play only to realize I just gave him an extra like 100% combat power rate and that he's immune to bleed and non-tech armor breaks
There's also something about Old Man Logan's heavy attack that 95% of the time makes me get punched in the face. I dunno why, I rationally know that his heavy has three hits and the last one is a delayed uppercut but ... that damn uppercut always gets me.
Letting muscle memory take over, which is probably the most common whoops in mcoc.
Aforementioned examples: intercepting Rhino/Mighty Charge, Parry/Heavy Mordo, trying to parry-punish the stun immune, etc.
My most recent offenses in arena: accidentally pushing Kingpin to sp2 by hitting his block out of habit, then automatically trying to punish his sp2 out of habit. Yeah, he's unstoppable. Yeah, it didn't go well.

I can’t do it. But I try. Every. Freaking. Time.
When I have opponent in the corner and I'm chaining heavies I am always sure I can get one more hit in after they've reached a bar of power.
Watch the Dork Lesson video on this. Life-changing! I went from literally 0% success to like 90% in 3 fights.
