    Just pulled 6* Mr Negative.
Was just about to R3 Miles (unduped) but Mr Negative stopped me in my tracks.
Am I right in thinking I should take him up instead?

In my opinion, yes. I’d rank 3 mr negative over miles. Miles fills a small niche and he’s really good at his role, but I think mr negative is better in a lot of situations, enough that I’d rank 3 him over miles.

I know this thread hasn’t been posted on in a while but I had a mr negative question and I thought this would be an appropriate place to ask it. I recently pulled a 6* mr negative and was elated. I’d really like to learn to play him and was wondering where you suggest I do so and how I go about doing so. Thanks for all the knowledge you’ve put into this thread.

@BitterSteel do you think Mr. Negative is worth a generic 6* AG? I happen to have one on hand, and if I can get the hang of Mr. Negative, I’m debating using it on him.

Additionally, is there a sig sweet spot for him that you’d recommend?

Hi! Sorry I missed this last time the thread was posted in!

I have a couple of suggestions, first is to read the guide I've written on Mr Negative - linked below
    https://forums.playcontestofchampions.com/en/discussion/268063/mr-negative-gameplay-guide#latest

It goes through the basics and will serve you well!

The second possibility is to add me on Line where I host a Mr Negative Line Chat where a large group of us (~150) have come together to share specifically Mr Negative gameplay, tips and other topics about him. It's been a great place for even me to learn stuff about Negative that others have found, and it's a really great bunch of people. My Line ID is bittersteel99 if you're interested. It also has a more up to date guide about Mr Negative with the new information I've learned about him, along with specific advice for paths and content to try him out in, bad matchups, nodes he counters and other such tidbits.

    Let me know!

If I'm honest, even I would find it hard to warrant a generic awakening gem on Negative. I used a class 6* gem on mine and even that felt like a slight push. Even the science class, let alone the entire roster, has a ton of worthy champs for generic gems who need their sig to function. Negative has a great benefit from his sig for sure, but the only thing he needs his sig for is degeneration matchups, and while that is a great piece of utility to have, degen just isn't common enough that you absolutely need his sig for. Like, the only common fight that's gonna come up in is a Mojo AW boss, and I wouldn't say one out of a dozen or so common AW bosses is worth a generic.

You can get the hang of Mr N and use him almost anywhere you would use an awakened one with him unduped, so I'd hold onto the generic. If you get a science gem and love him, then by all means I would sign off on that 100%.

Regarding sig level, the great thing about Negative is that he gets about 50% of his sig's benefit from being sig 35-40, and then the remaining 160-165 sigs gives him the last 50% benefit, so he has a very sig-stone-friendly scaling. After sig 40, it's still nice to get the extra regen, damage and energy resist, so I wouldn't argue against it but he's perfectly fine at sig 40 ish.
