Villain objective will be annoying for me. Might have to level up r1 mangog, but I'll wait to see if ghost can do it.
update: got a two shot with ghost. solo probably possible.
Honestly, I much prefer getting the week's challenge over with in two revives than just keep retrying at the cost of time. This might bite me back in final week, eh
I ranked up my dragonman to rank 2. Had been debating it for a while. Seems like an obvious choice with this event. I used Ultron for the villian. I did not need the Paragon objective since I am still TB. But he just seemed to work really well. Ultron was a little easier, but maybe that is because I am used to using him.
Impossible solo, as you need to gain the immunity, plus no ramp up.
Uhhh you don’t know how apoc works do you?
You can do it, It will take a lot longer tho probably about 500 hits, you will lose a lot of health to gain the bleed immunity, and he only has 1 charge.
“Impossible solo” is what you said, while not the fastest it’s a soloable fight
And you said: you don’t know how apoc works, while clearly you where talking without knowing.
Warlock, simple fight. Don’t need to worry about hitting block. MLLLM or backdraft intercept. Use sp2 to keep his furies up, crossbones can only shrug off one of your armour breaks I think, since they both apply at the same time. That’s nice for damage. Use an sp3 if you want to heal, but that leaves you open in the arena without him having any power, may be better to just power through and keep him in corner.
Harder fight, I used tech power boosts, but only used 2 or 3 specials in the fight. Bleeds do big damage, so RNG is gonna get you sometimes. Also his ai is super passive, have to plan out your bane transfer. I also activated resonate, which causes more fury buffs. I’d recommend this to anyone who has it unlocked, makes the fight so much easier.
I went with King Groot. He fulfilled both Thronebreaker objectives. Use SP1s to feed Crossbones armor breaks to shrug and convert into fury buffs. Whenever he doesn't shrug them, you slowly build up a stack of indefinite armor breaks on him.
I took a combo to the face and almost went down - I was in the 10% health range - but got my bearings again and ultimately ended the fight with over 80% health. KG's regen is insane. Thank you very much, old tree.
Tip: use SP1s to extend your combos if you're close to switching Bane. It's better than having Bane on you and trying to find openings while under stress. That saved me several times. I'm usually reluctant to throw any special attacks with KG unless I have my furies up, but that's less important in this fight. Consistency is important, as is negating as much stress as possible. When you get into a rhythm and you feel like you can breathe and anticipate or guide Crossbones' actions, that's when things will click into place. At least that's how it was for me.
If you do end up in a situation where you're pushed above two bars of power for whatever reason, go for the SP3 to heal up. Even if you play damn-near perfectly, Bane will chip away at you regardless. Any bit of regen helps offset that, and the SP2 won't do much damage anyway. Nor does it have a bunch of stuff for Crossbones to shrug. You're better off with some more health.
Finally, keep in mind that, while the fight will start slow and you might think it'll take forever, you'll become more powerful as it goes on since your furies will become more potent as time goes on. Every now and again, an armor break will also stick on Crossbones. These two things combined made the latter half of the fight much, much quicker than the initial ramp-up phase. It took me 6 minutes and 265 hits in total.
R3 unduped Warlock (XL) - one l1 revive - handful of farmed potions to top up R3 unduped Ultron (Villain) - 2 x l1 revives and less farmed potions each time since he heals up
Could both be solo's but I'm a scrub and get nervous the longer a fight drags on. It does help having a double immune champ so you can keep him pushed back on his side of the screen - he would turtle up a lot more than I was expecting so being able to hit into his block helped control the fight much easier.
Tried King Groot, but for some reason, 1 poison would just melt him away.
Warlock was doing fine. Not a solo, but only 5 revives. I expected to use one or two revives, but I forgot I was using the bugged beta input....oh well...
