When I recruit for my alliance, I always include: "We do not randomly or indiscriminately kick people, and we don't monitor their activities unless there is some reason (such as unexplained absences from the game). We're here to have fun, grow our rosters, and progress through MCOC at a reasonable, steady pace. Our members are supportive, helpful and flexible."
Sometimes I have poor or no internet. Sometimes I have meetings. But rarely do I not have a few minutes every so often while eating, laying down to sleep or taking a dump to play a lane.
One thing that I think would be a big pro player would be to either remove AQ Energy Cost or have a purchasable AQ energy refill (maybe like 10 or 15 Units for 1 AQ Energy) and allow you (in theory) to do all your fights in one sitting. Having to get people to log in multiple times a day specifically for this just seems unnecessary.

Sorry bro... Not gonna happen. Gaming apps try their best to get high screentime.
When I was in a German alliance for a year, they said I had to say one American thing a day translated through Google translate. I still don't know if that was a really rule or not.
one rule i had experienced at some point is that i had to horde all my crystals for a week to open them all the following summoner advancement event thing. and if i opened crystal i would get kicked. hated that rule
I went on vacation...told them ahead of time. Told them on this trip i was proposing to my girlfriend...got kicked cause i wouldn't be able to participate in AQ...
Hence, why i believe AQ is broken. People treat it like life or death. Ive recently found a great and understanding alliance though.
I mean, is that a bad reason though? You should have left off your own accord tbh, not expected your ally to carry your weight, just my 2 cents.
Required a meme r5 5* or r2 6*, it was a fun alliance of trolls and wasn't actually enforced but was enough of a rule to make it in the alliance description.

That’s weird. Like really weird.
In my alliance, we sometimes ask members not to open crystals if we’re far away from the next milestone and there are only a couple of hours left in the current event but it’s basically a friendly suggestion. Sure, it’s just wasting points that could be used for the next week’s event, but we would never think of kicking someone if they went ahead and cracked their stash.

The OG SA event was horrible, was available for a limited time and everyone needed to save and open in that short period of time to get points.

Seems like the easy path, to me.
Everyone who joins my alliance gets a speech about what we're about and what we expect and what we do and don't do. I think if an alliance does this up-front to new members, or explains this to existing members, there's almost no such thing as stupid rules. Alliances are about players, and players should be able to decide for themselves how they wish to play the game and who they wish to play the game with. You can't force other people to play the game the way you want. If 29 people want to play a certain way and you don't, they aren't wrong.
Sure, there are some lunatics out there, but it is really about having the right expectations and making sure they are consistent with the rest of the people you're playing with, whether the alliance is super casual or super hardcore or anywhere in the middle. If it is not, something has to change.

Back in the day when the Summoner Advancement rewards were important, I suppose.
Lol,people take this game too seriously. I was once kicked out because I took down the boss in war with one linked node left (unblockable sp2). Since then I play only in retirement alliance where there zero pressure to be active and play 24/7 and without any ridiculous rules.
the rest of the stories here are cool but this one here is a valid kick my guy
officers and leaders who actually plan out war really work hard for no extra rewards, to put their hard work in jeopardy because you couldn't wait for a link node to go down is disrespect to the officers who plan everything ahead and therefore is a justified kick. obviously you wanted something diff so playing in a retirement alliance is fine. it is just a game for you yes but some people do put a lot of effort in playing it and they would like to be respected for it and not be troubled for it instead.

All jokes aside, I’ve been lucky with alliances no crazy rules I’ve always been a leader in an alliance for a long while. Never had crazy rules. Just communicate so we can accommodate.
In one of my old alliances, we had a stripper in it and while she was in it, we had in our Alliance info ingame that bothering the stripper will result in being kicked.

I was in an alliance that did the same thing for me. They even went as far as to blacklist a few guys who were new and sent me unsolicited pics because it was well known I worked in that type of industry and I "should be ok with it."
As far as "rules" went. It wasn't a bad rule but we had this tradition that when new people joined our line group we had to mass spam memes. Members were expected to spam at least 5 meme in the first 24 hours or they were kicked from all chats for like 1 hour.
We also had one, again only revolving around line chats. If we didn't blame another person for our deaths in the game and "kick" them from the respective AW/AQ chat we were kicked. And we always had to blame the same person.
I was also told once if and when I got pregnant again if it wasn't a boy I would be alliance kicked. I was kicked twice. But always after the AQ series or AW season rewards were sent out.
I was in one that required us to record our war fights. And if you died you had to post the video. At first it was helpful, but as we got new people it became toxic.

This was just…weird. Idk if I should believe this or not

I don't play alliance mode at all. AW - why should I bother. At the end of the season, I guess my alliance receives like 5k 5* shards or something. My alliance is around gold 3 tier. I'm fine with that. Don't want to be too competitive in a mobile game. AQ? I don't need glory to buy the tiny 2% t5cc. I have enough cats from EQ and other sources to rank all the good champs. I really just don't see why I should play alliance mode at all nowadays. The fights are purely boring and rewards make me feel like I have a full time job that pays me $1 per hour.

Tldr: You’re my favorite poster on the forums, DNA3000.
