Unless it was a bug that’s how it’s always been. According to his bio going above 10 monster mass makes true accuracy fall off

I might be wrong but they did say they wouldn’t change that ability and that they’ll let it be as it is but I can be wrong.

Perhaps. Or the team could’ve acknowledged how popular he’s been in his current form for a very long time and updated his ability description.
It might be a “fix” but it feels like it’s coming from the same place as the whole Namor/Cull nerf fiasco from a few years ago (ie “No, you can’t have nice things!”)

And I’m not sure it’s a particularly canny time to annoy a lot of customers.

He's done it for about a year and four months, it was always a bug if you actually read his description, no you shouldn't get rank down tickets.

Many recent games don’t last that long. Anyone playing for the past sixteen months who doesn’t frequent the forums or YouTube (probably the majority of the play base) would have no idea this was an alleged bug and would be justified in feeling somewhat cheated.

this was brought up many times with no kabam comment on if it was working as intended or not. almost 1.5 years and they decide to fix it now? many people ranked him up based on him being a reliable evade counter and damage dealer. this completely changes his whole kit and playstyle, rank down tickets absolutely should be issued.

Am I mad for thinking that Kabam should give out rank 4-3 rank down gems for 6* moleman specifically? I’ll preface that it doesn’t affect me personally, I have a rank 3 Moleman I use occasionally but never in serious content.

Leaving a bug up for over a year and then suddenly fixing doesn’t seem like a fair move to me. Not everyone goes on the forum, not everyone knows Moleman is bugged, Kabam are sometimes not super clear in their wording in game and I think after a year and four months it’s not unreasonable to assume it’s a broken description rather than a bug.

There’s no harm to the game economy giving out these rank down tickets, the change just neuters the utility of a champ that I’m sure a fair few players have ranked up to R4. The disappointment someone could feel after having rank 4d their Moleman as their first R4 *yesterday* after getting EoP and side quest R4 materials would be astounding with how rare the materials are right now.

I don’t know if Kabam have ever publicly said it’s a bug and may be fixed. If they have, then I may retract my statement. I’ve never seen Kabam comment on it and I’ve used the forum search function on all the mods that tend to comment on stuff like this. Never found anything related to Moleman.

There’s an argument for Moleman specific RTDs in general, but at minimum a rank 4 rank down ticket. Those resources are far too rare.

Maybe people should have double checked before ranking a champion, but really, this is a game and we play it to have fun. It would be a fair and kind thing for Kabam to do to offer rank down tickets here for a champion that has been bugged and left alone for a year and a 4 months. That implies a certain level of “everything is ok”. I am not one to ask for rank down tickets, I’m not even asking for them for me. I think it’s the right thing to do.

Literally years? No. Since his buff last February. He's been bugged that long. His kit literally states it falls off during frenzy.

dude how do you make any rankup decisions if you don't read or watch anything on the champion lol. I'm guessing you also have cyclops at r3 because you have no idea if he's good or not

I’ve read his kit. It’s confusingly written and not clear at all. And as I stated above, i don’t think a huge amount of people read the details at all.

That's why I ranked and used him because under 10 charges when activating Frenzy, he kept True Accuracy.

I waited a LONG time before ranking to ensure it wasn't a "bug" and after reading his abilities, it shouldn't be an issue keeping it the way it has worked for over a year now after his buff.

This is ridiculous if this change happens like this. It makes him useless a lot of the time and makes me not want him ranked. Better options and this change isn't needed as it doesn't make him overpowered.

Everyone said day 1 of his buff that it was a bug. Waiting for a long time doesn't change that. Also moleman is far from useless lmao. He's easily still a top 3 skill imo

I still want that 6* version so bad for his shrugging ability and huge crits/bleeds. But I solely used him in act 7 for that true accuracy while in frenzy. I don’t know how usable he will be in endgame content anymore. This is more upsetting because the gameplay style will require you to not get hit into your block, which is ever more challenging because of the consistent bugs and gameplay issues

Edit: Also I just went after him for the skill nexus after EOP, pretty diabolical of you guys to release this the day after we got to choose our nexus 😂
