You don't have to Google anything. There are 3 or 4 duel target threads here on the forums with people doing the work you are above doing. Wait like 15 minutes after the new objective and come to the forums.
Such a trivial thing to complain about.
While it is a trivial thing to complain about, it is also trivial to make it (1) not an annoyance at all or (2) less of an annoyance.
Simply by allowing practice to count already makes it less of an annoyance for a decent chunk of players. Allowing practice to count also does not prevent people from still using Google/Forum threads to duel (the solution you are championing). It is a win/win (and potentially cuts down on the number of forum posts everyday by people not using the pre-existing Threads asking who to duel).
You can argue that specifically excluding practice is a developer choice to promote community engagement. While it does do that in a sense, it is also extremely patronizing. "Play this SQ the way we want you to play it" feels heavy handed.
Even if an issue is small, we should still complain about it. It still provides feedback to the developers to improve their game (even if there is a small chance that forum moderators pass on the forum feedback to the developers).
Even if they allowed practice fight, which I'm fine with, OPs issue is knowing what the target is. The objectives give you clues and you have to figure it out on your own.
And, yes, it's exactly "Play the SQ the way we want you to play it". We're playing their game. Y'all find any and every way to complain about every single aspect of this game because it doesn't cater your every single personal desire. Some things you just need to accept and move on. It's not Altavista's Contest of Champions.
You must have some kind of reading comprehension issue:
“ We have one entry per day. That's nice. You have to solve a riddle, that's nice flavour. And then what? So far it has had pretty new champs (Toad, Sauron, Knull etc), who aren't commonly found in the quests. So, if you solve the riddle, what are you supposed to do? Practise doesn't count, which I absolutely don't understand. The champs aren't in quests, so unless you own the said champion, you are left with two options: Google and Forums.”
What part of “the riddle is a nice flavor” implied that figuring out who the target is was the issue? Clearly the complaint (as is obviously stated) is that newer champs are hard to find as top champions on anyone’s profile. The only solution to this, other than guessing for 30 minutes in the in-game search bar, is to use google and the forums to find out what player has the champions. An obvious change that would fix this need would be to allow practice fights to count so that you don’t need to go find some random person with the top champ as the target. You can solve the riddle then get the objective without some out-of-game middle man getting in the way. The issue is locating a fight to complete the objective not figuring out who you need to fight
I don’t mind the daily riddle, as it not only helps my alliance communicate more often, but also teaches me something about the champion I may not have known.
Again, the usuals suspects pick and choose parts of OP’s points and derail the thread. No one is arguing that figuring out who the champion is behind the riddle is the problem. The problem as clearly stated twice is to find where to defeat that champion. I.e. which quest or which summoner to duel.

He isnt complaining about that tho. Its the fact that you have to actually find the fight, which is just stupid and time consuming. Once ive figured out the riddle. Just let me fight my own damn champ if i have them, not including practice fights is just stupid.

Please read the OP again. They are specifically complaining about having to google the duel target instead of just doing practice fights. They are not complaining about having to solve the riddle.
You can't google duel targets....
Yeah you can. Do you even know how google works? Just type "mcoc sauron duel target" and bam, youve googled for the target. So far ive been able to find every target except Purgatory that way.
All that comes up is links to the forums.
bruh then do you tell people you cant find anything on google just because google redirects you to some other website? lmao
mcoc forums search is broken so its better to google and find it that way. plus you can google and solve the riddle as well so calm your yOu CaNt GoogLE DueL TarGeTs google is very useful
Why would I Google something only just to have to come back here?
whoever said anything about starting from here? arent you assuming your own built up conditions?
people would login to the game look a the riddle switch out of the game go to a browser they can just simply search on google and go to wherever the answer is.
whoever said about living on the mcoc forums? O.o not everybody has an account to the forums even more as you already know the forums active community isn't a lot.
@Amazing_Demon05 go ahead and show me a picture of a duel target from today's riddle from Google search.

Not to interject, but this Link came up. Albeit through a Forum Post via Google, so the point is moot. Hahaha. Still, useful if anyone wants it. https://www.guiamtc.com/duelos
What's the name of the iron law that for every internet forum there's someone that will selflessly hop into every single thread hunting for illegitimate complaints to then complain about? The Initial Response always boils down to some form of "I find your complaining illegitimate and so I deign to complain about your petty complaints. Only my complaints and the complaints I agree with are worthy of discussion."
With how many event quests exclude the option of using practice fights, either cut them from the game or stop excluding them. There's NO reason why they should be excluded. I'm fine with solving riddles, I just hate having to find duel targets when IT WOULD BE SO MUCH EASIER JUST TO DO A PRACTICE FIGHT.
This time I don't wanna talk about rewards at all. Enough was written on that topic and I'd only sound like a broken record at this point.
My "issue" (or rather a question) is, what made anyone think this way of acquiring entries is a good idea?
We have one entry per day. The champs aren't in quests, so unless you own the said champion, you are left with two options: Google and Forums. Because outside of duels, you have no chance of finding the target.
It may be a bit harsh, but in what universe does this even distantly look like a good idea? Having to use outside sources to play the game is just so absurd! I hate it with every cell of my body. The most surprising part is, why can't we use practise??? Is it not enough to solve a daily riddle to earn the entry? Apparently not. You have to shut the game and go google a duel target, sweet /s
I myself have no problem with it, because I am a forum nolifer, so finding the targets is simple, but you can't expect that from every player, that's just silly, it adds no fun and it is just a neat way to make everyone's life one step more complicated.
Rant over, disagree is right here, below this sentence. Ciao!
No one has to use Google or the Forums. That just happens to be two common mechanisms for asking for help from other players. The question you're really asking is: why force us to ask other players for help?
And as I mentioned in another forum thread, it should be obvious what the motivation is for the operators of a massively multiplayer online game to create content that would encourage players to ask each other for help.

This. It encourages us to figure it out and share information. Along the way, we get to learn a bit about Champs and their history.
