Who would you use a 6* Tech awakening gem on?

I know Ghost, Nimrod and Peni are all worth a class awakening. I already have a 5* Ghost and am experienced with her so I’m leaning heavily towards Ghost but also want to consider Nimrod or Peni P just in case.
Story wise I just completed 7.4.6 today and want to invest in the champ that will help me get Paragon the quickest. In this context, who would you awaken and why?

    Nimrod imo cause he recks mutants and there are hard ones like sauron etc in act 8 in act 8 also ghost does not need it

    Ok good to know, thanks for replying. I’m personally a big fan of Ghost’s sig ability and argue that she needs it badly to be able to play her effectively. Is she not as viable as Nimrod in endgame content these days? I only recently started playing again after taking a bit of a break so I’m not fully caught up on Nimrod and his uses.

    He is more than solid on a lot of non Mutant matchups - particularly awakened. He was my first tech R3, my first tech R4. He is great.

    Do you think his awakened ability is vital to his kit?
    Reading through Nimrod's sig ability, he gets Armours quicker against mutants and also has unblockable and stronger specials in eradicate mode. Sounds really nice on paper.

    Ghost's sig ability, power gain on miss I do honestly believe is invaluable to her playstyle and imo takes her from a 7/10 champ to a 10/10.

    So what I'm wondering is if Nimrod's awakening make him leaps and bounds better as a champion or is he still solid unawakened?

    I've still got a tough decision to make regardless. Any input is appreciated guys.

    I think being awakened adds a lot of flexibility to his play style. Unawakened I had to work at keeping him out of eradicate mode until he was fully ramped (which sometimes took awhile) and generally found his ramp up much slower. If you play any modes where time is important - for example Battlegrounds - then I’d say being awakened is critical.

    Does he have to have it - like at an Aegon level? No. He is great without it. Does it take him to a new level? My view is yes. I used tech awakening gems on Ultron and Peni and naturally awakened my Nimrod. If I was starting from scratch, I would awaken Nimrod first. That said, I’ll also freely admit I’m not as big a ghost fan (due to my mediocre skills) as others are. But even with her, the best ghost players I’ve seen comments on it seem to say awakening really helps but isn’t essential.

    @Wicket329 knows even more about Nimrod than I do so might have some additional thoughts.

    Took y’alls advice and decided to awaken him over Ghost. Then proceeded to rank 3, so he’s now my top champ :smile:

    I personally feel like nimrod deserves it more. But peni is really good just because of passive heal block in debuff immune fights and Nick fury. Really good for defense and offense in bg
