BGs matchmaking still sucks

And the modders are still alive and well.

I can’t even get out of Silver III and have lost 7 in a row. BGs is no fun and I’m tired of being matched up against players that have ALL the friggin new champs at R3 and R4. It’s ridiculous.

And it also seems like my opponents champs are hopped up on steroids! Most of my fights are Timeouts because I can’t even get them down. Not to mention, how the heck does Silver Surfer start the fight out throwing a Heavy Attack and completely obliterated my BWDO??? 100% health, gone. 2 second fight.

I’ve lost all interest and faith in BGs. Leave it to the cheaters I guess.

I guess my question—honest question— is this: does a person in this boat (lost 7,8,9+ in a row, seems to have hit a wall) need simply to accept that this is as high as you’ll get, as your roster will allow and stop playing the game mode (except to meet the “play a match” objectives)? I have hit Diamond and that seems to be the hurdle I just can’t get past. That’s fine. It’s a competitive ladder, not a 22 hour milestone event or whatever. There’s going to be people you can’t beat and a level you can’t go past. But what else are you supposed to do? There’s 2 weeks left of this season. Just grind out a few matches to get your objectives and then do other content to build your roster for next round? That seems like the obvious answer, if matchmaking is really just randomly putting you up against other people in your current tier.

I have a Paragon account and a Thronebreaker account. The last 2 seasons were not bad. Even when my thronebreaker account (only 4 r3 champs) got paired against sandbaggers, I often times could still win cause they were forced to draft the 1* and 2* champs. Between both accounts I was able to clear the victory track.

Now that the changes have been implemented, I can no longer progress with my Paragon account. I've been stuck in Gold 3 but my Thronebreaker account is still climbing similiar to last season. It's honestly very demoralizing and I think I'm done playing the mode on my main account. I'm simply not going to grind and frustrate myself over a small lump of tokens, the reward is not worth the effort at this point. My mini, I'll keep playing for now and just avoid any major rank ups.

Protip, Silver surfer takes like 0 damage from energy type DoTs like shock, so BWDO was a very bad choice to use against surfer.

And that is exactly the logic many people are going to have, and what many had regarding war when that factored in more than just war rating.
Personally I’m matching enough paragons as it is with my singular r4, so why would I put in significant effort to get more r4 materials, might as well take my time.

Exactly this☝️ too many weak players whinning when they just need to accept they hit the wall, or have poor understanding of the game. Picking bwdo against surfer on rich richer node, you just gave him more power with shock debuff and free willpower healing..plus surfer AI is similar to mysterio, random heavy town... I mean what did you expect? 🤦🤷🏾‍♂️

With current matchmaking the rule in BGs VT is:
lower the account, faster the progress to GC 😂

i seem to get an fair matchup when i have 1/3 tokens (silver 2) and win it, then when i have 2/3 and need the one to go to silver 1, boom someone double my strength, then back to 1/3, rinse and repeat

can we just get 2 points for a win and -1 for a loss, or like in another threat, 2 points for a 2/0 win, 1 point for a 2/1, no points loss for a 1/2 defeat and -1 for a 0/2, then at least progress can be made

They often times had to draft 1* or 2* champs. Or maybe what they were forced to select as far as their 6 r4s, there wouldn't be a counter to my defender. Example, I've gone against sandbaggers that didn't have a single poison immune or purify champ and placed iAbom on defense.

You do realize that they're gonna adjust it again once they realize that they're screwing over their biggest spenders, right? It'll go more random and you'll stop being able to avoid them like you are now.

Honestly, a recent UC with a sub-7k prestige shouldn't get out of bronze. The face that you're easily able to move up just shows how flawed this system is.

The matchmaking is working, however, if this keeps up a lot of ppl will leave the mode because , lets accept it, most players dont give a .... about skill in mobile game.
They just want to hop in, spend some interesting time and move on.

I am in Diamond 3 now, but its been tougher this time around. Its probably a combination of more players getting on due to the rewards, different matchmaking etc

First season I got a top rank with 50k points, last time it was the same rank with 250k points. So definitely more players are jumping on for now.

Yes that's because TB and Paragons weren't affected by sandbagging that much. They were the ones doing the sandbagging, we (UC and Cavs) were the ones getting sandbagged that couldn't play the game with our top rosters for weeks.

Also, pretty sure I've mentioned this multiple times already, I don't mind facing a Paragon here and there. What annoys me is when people like you purposely match people like me by manipulating their deck and I have to face 8 or 9 of you in a row. That's over, I don't care what adjustments they make, as long as sandbagging is gone for good no adjustment will annoy me (which is exactly what you want, sorry you're not having things your way buddy).
The game needs some adjustments for next season because it is indeed very unfair for Paragons and TB atm, and I truly feel bad for those that never sandbagged. You though, well deserved.

Hope Kabam will soon buff rewards in other parths of the game (eg monthly EQ, side quests and arena), so I will be possible to not play BGs and not fall too far behind.

The items we can buy for Tokens are so good they ‘dont compare’ to large parts of the game (like being able to buy many many 6s shards and 6s sig stones - compared to get 6s shards from arena and sig stones from monthly EQ).

That just highlights the issues sandbagging caused. It's going to take some time for the system to balance itself out. People were artificially skewing the results. It affected the entire system.
