I don't think they tested the rage node enough if they did at all. 1% cap is too steep and very unreasonable, almost every hit will trigger the rage. Even a 5r5 against 6r4 defender, attackers whose main damage comes damaging debuffs. It doesn't make it challenging and fun but rather messy and dirty almost all the time. One that cause many players to quit out of frustration. 1.5% rage will have even been borderline-right for this kind of health pools. But I'm not surprised, sometimes it's as if they intentionally design certain combinations just to frustrate players, but nothing about fun-challenge.
They might as well call it the "Pause" meta because so far all my matches that's what been happening i would finish with low health and the other person health is full and defender has like 20 % damage taken and the timer says all they did was pause the fight and just hope they have enough point ill just stop playing and save my 147 points and cash out at the end because its not even fun any more.
This is a rough meta and is very unforgiving. Annoying defenders got 10 times more annoying and there really aren't many good counters to this meta. This meta will benefit those who have goodish attackers and defenders that counter most DoT champions.
I had seen more than “too much” in this game for 8 years, this …it is the most disgusting content, i’ve ever played. All you need - just make combo, pause the game and wait - ghoulish meta!
I'll be sitting this week out. When I come across metas I don't enjoy, I just stay out of BGs (and I love the game mode). Secondly, any meta that encourages the pausing technique (unless addressed by Kabam) is just annoying and not worth the effort.
I generally don’t find the game mode fun and it’s mainly due to the nodes. I haven’t tried this weeks yet because I stick to the 48 hr challenges and then I’m done. It’s just not fun to me and I’m here for the bare minimum and I’m out.
There needs to be more of an incentive to play once you hit glad circuit or for it to be “fun”. Once I hit gladiator circuit it’s just like grinding past milestones in arenas.. I don’t do it
IMO, if the rage node was 5% or 3% instead of 1%. This week would be fun.
At 1%, If defender has 160,000 health. To trigger rage, 1,600 damage. At 5%, same health. Rage would trigger with an 8,000 damage hit. At 3%, same health. Rage would trigger with an 4,800 damage hit.
Are we supposed to bring a roster of half 3* and half 6*?
Another Pause Meta for me. Health cap was way too low. Even ibom who I honk Kebam would agree this Meta is designed for is triggering unblockables., lol..

The meta has been interesting to say the least as with most metas. Don’t see an issue with how much rage should be capped at though? It’s definitely a lot more challenging to be dancing around for 2 minutes to try deal as much damage and keep as much health with the unblockable on
But definitely the easiest meta for modders to be caught with pants down! So hoping they’re all weeded out next week…🤣

Except that you have DoT champs to bypass damage cap or champs with in built power gain abilities to bypass polka dot power…
It’s gladiator circuit. There’s no written rules for players to survive on full health or finish fights under 40 seconds. And might I add, everyone’s facing the same nodes

Unless you couldn't. Wind up against someone that's nullify immune with class advantage and you're screwed. You can play around unblockable with literally anyone by just not blocking.
If you're someone that relies on needing an ideal counter for fights then yeah you probably liked last week better bc there were more ideal counters. If you're someone that would rather ban all the best counters and play around nodes, you probably like this week better.
i am not paragon yet i have only one r4 in my account and i have been winning some rounds doing the following. I enter, hit until the guy is unblockable, then I pause the match and wait for the time to run out.
Maybe it’s just because i’m not really concerned with being high ranked or anything, i just like the challenge of having to deal with these tough defenders. I’m having fun whether I win or lose. Clearly not many of you agree lol. I can see why you wouldn’t like it though. It’s just my opinion

This is why the pause button should be removed from BG. Pausing shouldn’t be a strategy to win

Most of the nodes this season have been straight up not fun to play.
