Rage meta in BG thoughts

I think it is definitely a challenge, it has been fun so far. Anyone think any differently or have anything to add?

i am not paragon yet i have only one r4 in my account and i have been winning some rounds doing the following. I enter, hit until the guy is unblockable, then I pause the match and wait for the time to run out.
This is why the pause button should be removed from BG. Pausing shouldn’t be a strategy to win
Exactly. Another reason why this meta is trash. 75% of matches is he other person pausing.

I used to be against removing the pause button because stuff does happen, but I am all for removing it at this point. Or at least only let it be paused for a max of 10 seconds and then the match resumes

Agree with the part that stuff does happen. But if it happens everything you start a BGs match, then something is not right. Starting a BG match is a commitment to finishing a match within 7-10 minutes. If you’re finding a need to pause every single match because of “outside commitment”, then perhaps real life is more important and you should not be playing consecutive BG matches when you’re busy.

That said, I think it’s fair enough if Kabam sets a daily limit of total number of pauses(2-3 sounds fair enough but imo already too many) you’re entitled to before the limit runs out and subsequent pauses then lead to negative points score instead?

First pause = no penalty
Second pause - no penalty
Third pause onwards = points penalty added per second of pause used up, reducing total score further instead of 0 points

It sounds like a good idea until your opponent drafts in DoT champs to bypass 4* health pools easily lol

I love BG I think is the best addition to the game since the buff program, but really I don't understand what's the point of making nodes like this one, one hit you are dead unless you have a rank 5 200 champion, unblockable triggers even fighting with havok , and then you have players who hit you 5 times and pause the game praying you have less hit than he does. Really, next season node make the defender from the start permanently unblockable unstoppable with shield, thorns, immune to ability reduction and poison, bleed , incinerate. I am sure players will finder it very challenging

It’s a meta where 5stars are more valuable than 6 stars in a game mode designed to highlight roster strength and depth. Seems like a miss.

It’s still so tough to gauge it though when BGs causes latency issues for me after about 60 seconds with this update. But at least emojis work 🫠

Game problem: We have control issues , block and parry do not work most of the times. Solution: let's make all attacks unlockable. Problem solved.

If you did at least 1 match in GC, then you should get the 10k chips at the end of the season, you don't have to had won that match.
