SA Rewards Updated, Scoring System Ignored

First off, shout to Kabam for the SA rewards buff. It isn’t great, but it is a solid increase and difference from previous rewards. At the very least it is a reasonable and all around acceptable updated in my view. But the praise stops here.

Why in the world was the scoring system not updated with this change? Well, aside from getting points for opening relic crystals (though not for leveling or ranking relics). Why is opening a pre-formed 4* crystal still the most valuable option for gaining points? Why are there still no points to earn from opening T4 and T5 class catalyst crystals, but you can earn tons from T3? Why is there still a cost-to-points imbalance in ranking and leveling 6* champs compared to lower tiered champs? Such low hanging fruit and you just whiffed.

Again, the rewards buff is decent (at best), but the scoring system is so outdated that gaining points feels like waiting for your dialup internet to finally kick in.

    Hey Summoners,

An update straight from the game team that should shed some light on the matter:

"The Summoner Advancement rewards were updated to make them relevant again but deliberately held back from being something Alliances focus too much on. We definitely didn't want to go back to the days where Alliances were forcing minimums for this event or putting a lot of time into coordinated openings.

The points system will be updated around the time that 7* champions launch."

Why would alliances that force minimums be a bad thing? Is the competitive nature of alliances something Kabam wants to do away with?

    @Kabam Jax

Can we please stop using the alliance potions in this? They are completely insignificant and not worth using unless you are using 4*s. And the t1a are far more useful than generic iso. How about selectors, or something along the lines of 1-10% rewards from 22 and 7 hour events. That way we can pick what works best for our accounts. The only part of the rewards that are definitively better are the shards. everything else is a wash.

The changes are a bit disappointing to be honest, I get the point but on the other hand, these are still dreadful in the current meta

It’s the MO to update things from horribly out of date to just out of date.

I’m fully expecting a thronebreaker solo objective crystal to drop in 2026

Well this argument is a 100% valid, the last thing we ever need again is Alliances recruiting with min SA requirements...

They're probably just gonna add more relic stuff

There's already enough things to worry about while seeking alliances. BG, AW and AQ. One more thing is not needed imo

Still, 1000-2000 6-star shards available in lower brackets wouldn't break your bank at all. Currently it's just too weak, the rewards are like few years behind and not exciting at all. I'm not sure how do you get excited about 100 6-star shards when that's probably where most mid-lower lvl alliances are gonna land.

It would be fair to argue that Summoner Advancement competition aligns perfectly with each of those things though. Especially in BG and AW you’re going to be pushing to develop your roster which is going to be the chief contributor to SA, so it really isn’t going to add anything extra to focus on. Nothing wrong with a little extra competition that can’t be as directly affected by modders and bugs.

Because they also mandated things like NOT OPENING ANYTHING for weeks at a time, and then once a month (or so) everyone can dump massive amount all on same week to overshoot what they could otherwise normally get if spread out like normal. And hope for an extremely high Rank.

They don’t want to see that return.

Any update and/or buff is better than no update/buff at all. But even with the buffed rewards, they already feel outdated LOL. just my opinion.

But there is revives not for aq but for story quests e.t.c
