There's no need for the second fury, or reason to purposefully chase them - they happen when they happen. If the fight lasts long enough for two furies, then he'll get it after his second Sov cycle.
He's pretty much the perfect example of "just hit them more than they hit you."

During the knull deep dive release, people, including me, complained about knull doing noodle damage with Max Armor breaks at r4, and now we put him as top tier champ.

Same with Apocalypse. He was originally thought to be underwhelming, but turned out to be a top 5 mutant in the game

The Sp2 pod gives only 2 second buff i.e. as long as the pod stays active
