Just gotta say this: Air-Walker should've been a robot. Like didn't he spend most of his time in comics as an android and was even more of a kiss-ass to Galactus than when he was organic? He was also in his android form when he came to Earth mistaken for an archangel (Gabriel I think). He was also one of the characters to lift classic Thor's hammer despite not having control over it, seemingly because he wasn't even considered "alive".
Ultimately it doesn't matter what anything is in any particular comic, what matters is what they are in the game. Although the game toyed with the idea of multiple class characters, in the end that's essentially a dead experiment at this point. For the purposes of the game, every character must be reduced to one class. It is up to the designer, in collaboration with Marvel, to decide what that class will be. Technically it is up to the designer to come up with the rationale for their class choice (just like it is up to the comic book author to decide what happens in their stories), and the general unwritten rule seems to be to pick the class that is most central to the design of the champion as they exist within the game. Captain America is Science because the designers leaned into his super soldier origin more than his years of combat training.
Every champion contains elements of multiple classes. Elektra, for example, came back from the dead. That wasn't through proper application of Tai Chi. Captain America has super soldier serum abilities, combat training, and a special invention in the form of a shield. He is ultimately Science because the designer decided his champion design was going to emphasize that element of the character, and Marvel gave the green light. It is a judgment call, and the designers make the call. There's no rule that mandates which class a champion will be based on comic book origin or anything else.
