Kabam know that most people won't buy this deal unless it's about 60 units, and then they're practically giving it to us, but they also know some people will but it no matter what. Whales are going to buy everything as they might aswell cause they have so many units and I don't really think many of them value them that much. Some people do just love thanos for whatever reason they have and will want to get him as high a rarity as they can in a guaranteed offer instead of the slight chance with gifting or banquet crystals. As they know all of these people will buy it almost 100% of the time they might aswell put a price on that offer which makes them a really high profit And then there is that he's a trophy champ too wich increases the amount of people who will buy him just because he's Thanos
I also do agree that they probably do Want to get as many units out of players as they can at the moment just to make the July 4th sales even more tempting.
The fact that they have gathered 0 feedback from the last 3 years is just sad. Very sad on their part
The feedback is that players who want to buy it buy It. They've bought it for the past three years and they'll buy it this year too.
Unfortunately for you, Kabam doesn't care that you don't like this offer
They should look around and see that no store puts out a 24 hour sale two days before an annual sales event. They didn't even bother to try to get people to spend more on 4th of July by doing some sort of tie-in.
They should care that enough people would buy the offer to bother making it. This isn't a good enough offer to put out at this time.
Define good Offer.
Anything but the thanos one, this offer it's not only trash...it's sad even, shows desperation from kabam to get people to spend their units At least og vision is kinda useful with power gain and power drain, thanos needs to be x200 to start being useful
People still don't understand their personal spending habits don't apply to every Player. There is no great conspiracy to get people to spend their Units before July 4th. That's just not a thing. The Offer is for anyone who wants it. No one is forcing anyone into doing anything. If someone wants it bad enough, they'll buy it. If you think Kabam is somehow hurt if they don't, you're mistaken. Not all Offers are meant to appeal to everyone, just like not all Players spend the same. Simple as that.
It's sad how many thumbs down u got considering u nailed it. If ppl think an offer is bad then they don't buy it. Some ppl think it's a great offer.
Lol you think GW speaks for Kabam?!
I don't believe the OP stated that. Neither did I.
It's really not that deep. Thanos isn't particularly game-changing. It's for people who would like to collect him. Some are still trying to pull him. Some have even been gunning for him in the Gifting Event, and never had that luck. To them, it's more appealing. The game releases a range of Offers, and they're not all intended to appeal to everyone, nor are they all intended to compare to the biggest sales of the year. To this day, I still can't fathom why people don't just pass if they're not interested. Everything is seen as a personal insult.
Kabam understands its economy, but not for those automatic offers.
The game still automatically pops up useless offers (to my account) when opening crystals, offering me the chance pay units for 3-star level ranks up when my account is focused on 6-stars and 7-stars. Given that I never bought those even when I was focused on 3-stars, it seems like a useless thing to do to me.
However, otherwise, there is enough people who purchase it to make it worthwhile, both for those automatic offers and the larger at large offers. Or there is enough people who purchase it and then pay money to buy units in order to get the July 4th deals.
Cool down in this thread, please. Keep you opinions on the game, not each other.
This deal may not appeal to you, and that's fine. Or you might want this trophy champ, that's fine too.
In terms of Kabam "hearing the playerbase" - We are astutely aware of what summoners think of most aspects of our game. However, internal data will always speak louder than words in the forum; the team is constantly monitoring response in this way.
In short, if no one is buying, we conclude Summoners were not a fan. If you don't like the offer, ignoring it gives the team the data they need; not every offer is for every Summoner.

That's the huge problem, yeah, they are "trophy" champs, but we want something useful at least, and, come on, is thanos, he needs buff asap.

The timing is terrible. Offering this exact deal a month ago, I would have been all over it and forgotten about the cost by now and totally ready to get my 4th of July purchasing on. Putting it out on Friday alongside 4th of July sales and I'm getting it. Putting a 24hr flash sale out 2 days before 4th of July sales week makes very little sense if they want to optimize revenue.
Not personally insulted, just puzzled and mildly annoyed that a company that makes a game I really like can't seem to get out of their own way. What person has ever actually claimed that every offer must be for every person? What does anyone get by rationalizing that every offer is great to someone, therefore no one can offer criticism or feedback because "it wasn't meant for you"? That's just as worthless as "Kabam has a plan and they work in mysterious ways that are inscrutable".
However, internal data will always speak louder than words in the forum; the team is constantly monitoring response in this way. .
3 years ... 3 years and still absolutely no change made. How many more years are necessary to "gather feedback"?
OG vision offer was 15k for an unduped rank 1 6* 80 T5 ISO and 500k gold. it's now 6k with 80k ISO bricks, and a R1-2 gem and 1mil gold. We've never had a Thanos unit offer before. So... you're wrong again.
To me this is an absolutely horrible deal. But there are Whales out there who are collectors and dropping 2 Odins, even before July 4th deals is a non issue for their bank accounts. But I’d also assume that these same players probably already have him as he’s been in the last few Gifting/Banquets.
Kabam probably has some analytics of who this is aimed. It’s clearly not the average player. I just get the sense those that would buy it, already have him. I would say, this would have been a good opportunity to sell the 6* for 3k of units and add a 7* for a ridiculous number. Really go for it and milk those Whales.

Internal data does not always align with voiced opinions. Remember that the voices in the forums are a vocal minority.
He has been at the exact same price ever since 2021. Rank up items have lost value, the champion didn't get a single buff and 6-star's were supposely to become more easier to get. That is no excuse to not make a single change to the offer price

It’s a rubbish offer, but it’s not meant for the vast majority of players. Even if it was half price at 3k of units, would you buy it? I’d guess likely not. This one’s for the players with a big cheque book.
The thing to focus on will be Fridays deals and have they adapted to the current game economy. I think it’s a waste of energy to get riled up over this offer.

This bit is what people keep saying that's so blatantly obvious that saying it is equal to shrug and saying nothing. Buying offers I am interested in gives the team data, I doubt they would claim it's "the data they need" since it's so limited. The team can't tell the difference between my non-purchase of an offer that I'm interested in and one that I'm not. The team might want the freely given context to go along with the purchase data. I'm not buying this and here's why is much more valuable than my non-purchase in a vacuum, especially since you have my purchase history to compare against. If you want to take it next level like Amazon or Google, you should ask me more questions about why I spend the way I do and what I want to spend on that you aren't providing.

2019- 15k units w/iso and gold 2020- 7.5k units w/iso and gold 2021- 6k w/5* Vision and gold 2022- 6k units w/gold 2023- 6k units w/ iso, more gold and a r1-2 gem.

I really hope your bosses appreciate your efforts. I'd tip you 60,000 units if i could.

Did you even read the post before replying? Jax explicitly stated that "internal data" will always speak louder than word on the forums.
In other words, if you are asking how long you have to complain about an offer before you force Kabam to change it, the answer is, if the economic data doesn't support that change, "eternity."
In short, if no one is buying, we conclude Summoners were not a fan. If you don't like the offer, ignoring it gives the team the data they need; not every offer is for every Summoner.
So even if 1 out of a billion person is buying you'll still consider to be a great deal. "Not every offer is for every summoner" might be your motto but "we will try to make a deal that suits most of you" would have sounded much better. I am unable to see any good deal for me to buy anytime in future after this comment

How can you get so much wrong in such a small amount of words?
