The fights have def been tougher....I did go balls to wall though and just got to plat2 this morning....I figure a large percentage of people will have tons of shiny new r3-5 and 7 stars so I wanted to get the jumpand get to uru or close to it as fast as I could.....it's gonna be a slog the next few days....

I was talking about not vastly overpowering lower Accounts at the start of the competition. Not altering the scoring so the Matches are won by a small margin.
Personally I’m finding this to be the smoothest climb to GC yet, but I’ve been try hard grinding this mode for 8 seasons now and typically finish Q1 or higher
I wouldn't care if they were all R5s, if you could deal with the lags in controls and the AI. Block isn't responding half the time, and the AI leaves no room to respond. Evading Strikers, refusing to Bait, responding in knee-jerk speed. Sorry, having a moment.

I've missed a few parries here and there but haven't really noticed any real input issues, mainly because I'm not that good so failed dexes and mistimed parries happen to me on the regular.
Still cruising without really trying but once I get annoyed it's time to put it down for a while.
Roster strength is still king in this mode. Make the other guys fight more annoying than yours.

Speaking for my own roster ... Before the season started i took off suicides because it felt that suicides will be punished a lot with the new timing changes and the nodes ... I was on Silver 2 for the first 4 days ... Got fed up, turned on suicides and voila ... Diamond 3 within 24 hours lol ... But yeah ... The time change makes most matches VERY close
I’ve had to change the way I approach fights, bg’s for me in past was smash the fight out as quickly as possible without focusing on chip damage, this season you gotta save every HP possible. I’m finding I’m winning a large percentage of matches when I end the fight with more health than opponent. Also I think you’ll find more people are pushing harder earlier in season to hit more alliance milestones.

Yes, Spot and Scorpion usually go down when I use them. Mostly AA or Kingpin will take them down. I've been getting to know them for Attack. Especially Scorpion. Pre-Fights help for iBom et al.

I'm in D2, and I don't care what Tier I'm in. People manipulating the system like that is not good.
I'm curious, I really wanna know what stage URU is, bcoz BGs end at vibranium... Anyway, I feel last season was tougher, due to the infamous masochism node...and I couldn't make it past Silver 1. This season however, i'm currently at Platinum 3...because the unstoppable node can be waited out. And I did give all my patience to reach here, lol.
What's bugging me is, I saw an uncollected player in Gold 1, that had tons of 6 star R3 (how's that even possible?). I have also been matched up with accounts having R5, or an occasional 7 star in the gold tier. The worst part however is, sometimes the bg champ deck selection would choose my champs for me on defense or offense.
And, this happens more often, where i've had to choose a lot of the low rated champs on my deck, while the opponent got away with choosing their highest rated consecutively, without me getting the chance to ever balance that.
