I disagree with VT being p2w, but the top end of the GC most definitely is.

I wouldn't actually mind VT being slightly more participation based vs competitive, since the GC is the true competitive aspect of BGs and I'd be fine with VT being more of the warm up and less punishing if you lose.

Don't be mad that people spend money on things they enjoy and if you're struggling to get by becuase you keep getting whales it means it's time to rank up, build your roster. All accounts have a brick wall in bg I've hit mine it's plat 1 I'm not gonna act like deserve more that's just where my champs and skills are going to put it's fine

It makes no sense having a competitive mode where people of similar skill/account level are not paired with others of a similar level not even in the GC. Youre legit all wrong. VT Should be rated matches, so equal accounts fight equal accounts. Make It based off prestige. Etc.

System is fine as it is right now (with minor flaws). It’s a highly competitive mode with ELO system (from Gladiator upwards).

Don’t think you would be happy if it‘s separated by Prestige/Total Champ Rating/Number of R4s or other Factors (=> different Brackets defined by your Profile/Stats). Because at the same time the Rewards would have to be adjusted. No 7* (Titan) Shards for smaller Brackets, just 10% of current Rewards for the smaller people and so on.

Sure, you would fight equal Accounts then, but it wouldn’t be rewarding anymore. You can’t have the best from both worlds … top tier Rewards + easy matches (free Wins) at the same time.

Complain to FIDE, the international governing body of Chess. In open tournament competition everyone faces everyone regardless of ELO. To win, you have to play everyone and beat them. Yes, there are womens' tournaments and there are juniors' tournaments, but in the main competitive tournaments, you don't just face competitors who happen to have the same strength as you do. Because that's anti-competitive. It is anti-competitive because you should never be able to overtake a group of players you never face. If you only face players with your roster strength or prestige or whatever, then your win record could make you look better than players who are much stronger than you and would easily beat you in head to head competition. But to be the best you have to beat the best.

People continue to confuse fair fights with fair competitions. A fair fight is where both opponents are equally matched. But a fair competition is one where the strongest competitors rise to the top, and no one has an easier path to victory. A player who faces weaker competition than another player in a competition has an unfair advantage, even if those weaker opponents are "fair."

Fair matches are for fun. But the mode requires fair competitions, not fair matches.

Wrong again. Consider GC is the championship. This is where the big boys play, where big boys fight big boys. VT is the introduction to battlegrounds, and should be similar rating against similar rating(or even similar prestige vs similar prestige) tied to progression. Anyone who says this is not the way is legit incorrect.

There's no reason the Victory track should not have equal fights. I don't care what kabam has posted as to what their "vision" for bgs are, its legit a cesspool of whale accounts fighting barely paragon accounts who can't do a damn thing.

The problem here is there is only 1 way to get into the GC, and that's clearing the VT. The VT serves dual purposes. It is for introduction and participation, but it is also a roadblock. Until there are other ways to get into or qualify for the GC, or limiting entry based on progression, you will not see further matchmaking manipulation. So yes, there actually is a reason for going to an open matchmaking in the higher tiers.
