They said they're aiming for a late January fix, we still have 9 days left

I'll be back here on Feb 1st, It's in my calendar.
Perhaps in the next week or so you should figure out what "aiming for" means

I have started 6 months ago, I become paragon 3 days ago. Dont even have cores to use those masteries. How are planning to use those masteries and why do feel its "major" disadvantage?

    I'm glad you asked.

I'd like to run full suicides and max willpower and still have enough points to max out stupefy, pacify and petrify as well as recovery.

Right now I am short of that by no less than 4 mastery points, would you believe it?
Sure, if given an infinite amount of points, I would have an ideal mastery setup. You literally have more than you need for the setup you described:

Just a general plug for those who don't know you can plan your mastery setup on auntm.ai

"This has put our accounts at a disadvantage relative to our competitors when it comes to PvP game modes."
If your opponents do have the other 4 masteries, then by definition, it does. But, by definition, this game is not perfectly fair to all players and will never be. The key is in the details.

The difference this has made cannot be overstated and I believe compensation should be hefty, as every day where we are being denied the points we are due, we continue to operate at a disadvantage.

You haven't actually described how they have set you at a disadvantage, or how you have actually been affected. Did you lose a bg match by the extra 1% health that those masteries might have gotten you? Is there an actual data point that can back you up? In a PvP situation, the difference tends to be significant (mose so than an extra 4 mastery points could account for).

Kabam have proven that that don't really care about this issue and would rather cater for the big spending endgame players, in what I believe to be a last ditch effort to line their pockets before the game starts trending sharply downhill.

This is just straight slander. You provide no proof, literally do not even allude to anything they have done, and wildly speculate about an unlikely future. Try actually backing up your points instead of further derailing your statement.

What do you think about it? Salty pessimism or a realistic outlook on the situation?

I’ve been waiting for the mastery points too but I don’t know that a hefty compensation is necessarily required. The only thing I’ve wanted is for them to give us updates. Do I think it’s absurd that they didn’t have this planned out before they decided to make everything go live? 100%. They should’ve prepared better and they failed to adequately take care of what needed to be done. But at this point we just need to be updated on when they plan on making it right.

P.S. I’m using a new account that I started back in June. I was actually in the middle of exploring act 4 for the mastery points when they made the change and I’ve had literally no other recourse to get the mastery points. Just for those who want to keep saying everyone has had 8 years. And I’ve also made my way to valiant, so those mastery points would be greatly beneficial.

My recent suggestion in another thread (what ? there are multiple threads about this ?? including a rather lengthy one where Kabam has commented before, which will probably be where they come back to once they have further update to give ??)
And hesitant to continue in threads of any poster with their profile set to “private” so you can’t see all the rest of what they previously post, have asked about, or have suggested.
    But..

Suggestion would be for Kabam to implement a MAX CAP to Mastery Points, similar to Inventory / Treasury Caps.
Can also be conditioned on newer additions such as Necro Completion status (for that +1 extra Mastery they give for that).

So implement a CAP of 59. And if you have done Necro then your CAP would be 60.

Move the ACT-4 Mastery back to “100% Explore” (1x on each Chapter) instead of on each Chapter “Completion”.

Anyone earning Mastery from anywhere would have this Cap in place, and anything earned above their Cap would not be awarded to them (because they would have already received those points elsewhere, to avoid a double dip).
This would prevent NEW Double-Dipping by those who have recently got MAX from just Completion under the recent/current system, and then would go on to do Explore after the mastery points are moved back to Explore.

This would take care of the majority of people.

Only small # of cases that may still be affected would be those who already did “Completion” prior to change 6 months ago (but NOT EXPLORE at that time). Who then later DID go on to do full Explore (for some reason).

I would say “SMALL # of cases” because ..
    (1) Anyone who had just let ACT-4 sitting unexplored for years would definitely NOT have gone back since and suddenly done it AFTER knowing it no longer game the extra Mastery.
    (2) Newer players typically have no desire to fully Explore ACT-4 anymore (for few years now) because so much easier to rush thru and advance to ACT 5 (and even 6) faster now that years ago when took longer to build up a roster of 4* (and early 5*) to complete it. So newer players are not spending time in ACT-4 anyways. So they would probably NOT have done full explore during these past 6 months either.

**and if any of those few cases above, they probably would have stopped going back to fully Exploring further after Chapter-1 and not seeing the Mastery there. So would still have Chap 2 thru 4 to recoup that 1 point they did still miss out on from Chap-1 under this proposed system.

I run full glass cannon and recoil, and I didn't quite hit all the details as to my ideal mastery setup, suffice to say I ended up 4 pts shy of achieving it, but thanks for the site, I will check that out.

I do want the mastery points but to be honest I do not think I have been that disadvantaged from not having it to the point where I need compensation. I do not even have the max mastery points yet. If anything, the most important issue was at the time not getting the updated rewards. I'm not saying that I don't want the mastery points, I'm essentially just saying receiving the mastery points will be enough, no extra comp is needed and if there is comp it doesn't need to be big
