8.4 Rewards Prediction Thread

I just explored Act 8 and am pumped for 8.4 to release. I want to hear everyone’s rewards prediction for the following:

8.4 completion
8.4 exploration
Act 8 completion
Act 8 exploration

1 - 1 r4 generic gem, 1 6* generic AG, some cats and stuff
2 - 1 r5 Generic gem, 1 7* r2 generic gem, 10 k titan shards
3 - Same as 8.4 exploration
4 - 1 r3 gem crystal, 1 full titan crystal and 7* sig stones.

7* R3 gem crystal is all i expect and need, rest i won't set any expectations as Jax told.

But can we set expectations on the disappointments? Like how bad it can be, that's allowed i think. We will set the bar low that way and Kabam can impress us.

In seriousness, I wonder if we won't get a gem crystal and instead get 3 tier 4 alpha cats (maybe one for act 8-4 exploration and 2 for act 8 exploration) and some combination of tier 6 selectors.

As long as the rewards are geared towards 7 stars and not 6 stars I'll be happy. I think Kabam said act 8 exploration will reward a 7 star R3 materials or class bases gem. Hopefully we will see a lot more R1-2 gems/materials as well as some 7 star/titan shards. I don't think that's much to ask. 7 star AG or sig stones would be nice too ofc, but as Jax said, not necessarily going to expect that.

Also hopefully the boss will be fun as Bahamut was fairly decent and Cerastes was really fun. Once you got into the rhythm for the Cerastes boss it was great, and I really enjoyed my second playthrough for the deathless guillotine challenge. Kabam made the AI quite aggressive and it was no sweat baiting out special attacks which was also very nice, and I hope they do something similar for the 8.4 boss.

Well, it'll def have either the mats for a 7* r3 or a gem. They confirmed that I'm a stream iirc. I'm hoping for the mats so I can pick someone I want rather than being pigeon holed by a class gem.

Other than that, my guess is:

(Exploration and completion totals)

Enough 7* shards for a full crystal
Half a titan crystal
6* 4->5 crystal
Generic 3->4 6* gem
Generic 6* AG
20-30k 6* shards
100 6* generic sigs
20 7* sig crystals

And then the same path rewards as 8.3 +/- the rank up mats

I don't have the patience to 100% Necropolis. All I really want is a r3 gem or 1 & a half t4 so get my 2nd r3 for Valiant

Everyone needs to be realistic

I predict the following

Path rewards 1k units, 15k 7* shards, 28k t4 alpha
Completion 3 t4 alpha, 1 7* r3 gem, 30k 7* shards, 20k titan shards
Exploration 2 7* r4 gems, 150k 7* shards, 2 7* selector, 80k titan shards, free entry to a Taylor Swift concert

A class seven star awakening gem would be cool for exploring act 8. I doubt they'll do that but its big enough content that we could see a meta changing reward like that. Seven star sig stones will also possibly be there but most likely crystals as opposed to generics.

I'm going to set my expectations reasonably for this.

8.4 completion: 1 gold
8.4 exploration: 2 gold

Act 8 completion: 3 gold
Act 8 exploration: a 7* r3 of some kind and 4 gold.

I actually find it weird that they don't put a title with exploration like they used to for act 5 and 6. It doesn't have to be a progression title,just something that's unique for exploring the entire act. Like you give random titles for doing side quests but not for exploring an act in the story?

Actually you are right, for Act 8 exploration there should be titles like "Expectations Met", "Theory Crafter" or "Being Cautious". The description for the title should read "This summoner set high expectations for Act 8 exploration" or "Earned by setting high expectations for Act 8 exploration"

I expect a 7r3 class gem will be in exploration rewards. After necropolis that makes the most sense to add r3 stuff. Plus maybe some r3 mats.

I hope there are at least r2 gem and/or materials in completion
