I know I shouldn't complain of new 'content' dropping and getting free rewards, but I am learning the WoW fight biweekly, barely keeping track of how the new March SQ works (especially because we miss out on rewards if we don't do it in time), adding daily Heist arena fights to my to-do list, trying to wrap my head around how the Saga tags can be ignored or followed (not to mention the weird February Ironheart objectives still populating my queue), ignoring the Carina challenges, and totally not noticing the monthly champion buffs.
Our celebration of International Women's Day was that we worked with members of our Community to come up with Objectives for everybody in-game. We did not say that the Challenges had to use Women, so they chose the Champions that they wanted to highlight in the Objectives, and we included those Champions in this message for everybody in case they didn't have them.
Clear excuse. You should've informed those community members to create challenges around women champs. It is a major error from your side.
Nevertheless, kudos to the ones who created these challenges. I had a lotta fun using 2* women champs
So your idea for how Kabam should celebrate the women in the community is to *not* give them free rein with what challenges they want to make?
Why! This event is obviously about the real, actual women who put work into these ideas. AllisonEdits’s whole channel is about shining a light on underappreciated champs, and so her challenge reflects that. Why would it be *more respectful to women* to say “you have to do it on our terms because we know better”
You get why that’s insane, right?
I personally don't mind it as long as I get stuff. But imagine 90% players who don't use forums. Opening a women's day mail, and getting 4* male champs while getting female champs of 2* rarity only (Yes it is based on challenge) is pretty ironical no matter the context. lol.
The forums have nothing to do with it when the literal in game message that delivered the champions has the full context.
Kabam teamed up with content creators to make an event. The event is about those actual, real life women, not about which champions you are using. The in game message makes that clear. The forum post makes that clear. There is no need to put the spotlight on which bundle of pixels you use in the game when the point of the content is the person who came up with it and whose name is on it.
Unrelated, but that Medusa art is so good. So happy that they let Cat make a pfp
@captain_rogers I for one was happy to get 2* Valkyrie and black cat. I had neither of those. I had max sig of the other male champs that I got. I was more excited to pull brand new 2 star champs for collection purpose.
What is ironic is you want to dictate terms and conditions to women in an event solely to honor/commemorate women.

Who decided that fighting 4.3.6 Venom with a 2* Guillotine while the AI is still refusing to throw specials was a good idea? This fight is literally RNG if venom decides to hold his SP1 even once over the course of a 6+ minute fight you are literally just dead. Fix the damn AI and then you can put out challenges like this.
Ai in some of these lower quests is definitely not great... Baiting specials is annoying but patience (lots of it) will do.
Except when you get an aggressive AI with very passive specials

I mean come on man. International Woman’s Day and you can’t create a challenge that’s all women? Stop making excuses
Ronin is literally Allison's signature champion just like how Sersi is my signature champion. Would be really boring if the creators couldn't have their favorite champions in their challenge just because the champion isn't a female.
Saying “I’m being sarcastic” does not make this okay or funny. What a lot of well-meaning people struggle to understand is that their words can still be hurtful even when they don’t intend them to be. That’s not to say that somebody can’t make jokes about subjects, it just means that it has to be done with the right tact and understanding, neither of which are present in this post.
And adding that disclaimer at the end doesn’t unring the bell if somebody’s already bothered by what you’ve said. It’s the “it’s just a prank, bro!” defense, which is regularly and justifiably memed on for being bad.

This is ... a lot in a short period of time.
