Ascension increases prestige?

This has been bugging me for a while now. I've heard that 6 star ascension does not increase prestige: only health and attack but this paints a different picture.

This is how my account looks like when viewed from a different account. Here it says my Bishop's prestige is higher than the 3 six stars but he does not appear in the top champion section. Since the prestige calculator is not considering ascension, are we to assume that these 6 star champions appear in the top section because ascension has greatly increased their prestige?

Your top 4 isn’t actually sorted by prestige from someone else’s point of view. It’s sorted by the base pi of your champs. (their pi without masteries) When ascension comes into play, it doesn’t increase prestige, but it does increase the pi of your champ on a base level, so it will push them further up your profile.

Ascension does not affect Prestige, but it does affect the order of champs on your profile when viewed by another player as this uses your champion’s non-mastery-influenced PI (and ascension affects PI)

Ok that makes it clear. I always thought it's sorted by inflated pi when viewed from own account and by prestige from other accounts.

Yea I used to as well until ascension came along and I learned the difference through this same confusion lol

A fun way to determine the almost exact base PI of an ascended 6* in Auntmai is to simply make them a 7* r2, and then add like 10 to what it shows for prestige since an ascended 6* r5 is actually a r3 level 1 (very insignificant difference). This should give you a good idea of what you have to beat if you want to know what your profile champions are (or what sig to make your 7*s to get them on your profile)
