Ahh yes the game will die cuz a stream is postponed and one of the employees left the company.
Nailed it. Lol. The big concern is why. He was a no bull kind of guy. And part of my og alliance in the very beginning. So why did someone so invested just drop. And why didn't they see it coming so bad they need to put a pause on something so simple
In a company like Kabam, many employees wear multiple different hats. But even just the hat with "community manager" written on it would have been involved with all aspects of communication with the playerbase, including the live streams. If Miike's departure was unavoidably sudden, that could have left a gap in the things that have to happen to manage and deliver those, and in that case a delay would be prudent to give Jax and everyone else involved the proper time to assume the proper responsibilities.
First, KM's departure is none of our business. Second, you folks need to stop setting your hair on fire. It's embarrassing. Third, there could be dozens of reasons KM left and that the stream was postponed, and those reason could be connected or not. But what I do know is that assuming the answer with almost no information is a dumb move.
We are all going to miss Miike but there is no need to speculate, this game isn't going anywhere. I'd bet a fair bit of money that while the team will be completely different by then, MCoC will have a 20th anniversary.
In the meantime come hang out on the Livestream with Jax and I next week.

Can you do a segment on people claiming they didn't cheat then go through the data that shows they did

The LIve Stream is only an hour or more. There's not enough time.

I'll take that ... on second thought, that's a bet I won't take.
First, I think there are fair odds of that happening.
Second, even if the game shut down tomorrow Crashed would probably hold a 20th anniversary party of the Queen Mary 2 launch in the office just to try to collect on the bet.

Maybe like a top 5 and it can be a recurring crashed segment every stream
It's only sudden for the faceless nobodies on the internet. I would think his colleagues were probably aware of the situation.
That doesn't seem to be the case. But as it's been stated. His private business isn't ours. But the state of the game is. I'm interested to see how they handle it. Probably another reason to delay the stream. So they can address it there.
Sorry. I have ten years and sadly half a house worth of money invested into the game. Call me paranoid. I accept it.
someone leaving doesn't necessarily mean the game is in trouble or shutting down. people leave for all kinds of reasons including person ones. now if the ceo and a bunch of c-suite executives left that might mean something else.
And isn't it a norm nowadays in tech field to leave a company atleast once a five years? I know many people who shift high paying jobs constantly to learn new stuffs and grow in career and all, idk why they do though.
It really depends on if the company you're at is treating you well (or like a human) the reason people on the tech field attempt to job hop so much is because they are overworked, undervalued, and in many cases their pay doesn't change that much for how long they've been at a company or for how much they do and look elsewhere for higher pay and better opportunities
Miike probably quit before pride month because he didn’t want to deal with the forums garbage display that we get every year lmao
Funny. I don't think we need to worry, though. We're all still here. Plus Jax doesn't seem too keen on that type of hatred, nor do the rest of the staff for that matter. If that's what they're spreading, this ain't the space for it.

Yeah, publicly out your customers on a public forum. Seems to go well.
I understand the speculation, and I too wonder what happened, but the reality is that it's really none of our business. Stuff happens, people come and go, and NDA's are a thing.

I’ve just got to say this. Every time I read one of your posts i laugh and I know it’s yours without looking at the poster.
Wasn't Mike just community manager lol, he wasn't developer or anything, Kabam can hire anyone off linkedin with description, "Must have sense of humor/anger towards forum members and be salt of this Earth."
Usually nobody is just one thing at a job like this. They’re getting taken advantage of by doing multiple roles with no upside or extra.
Management takes advantage of good employees and then pays for it later when having to replace and realizing how much he was probably doing.
I'm not going to blow sunshine up anyone's skirt and say that doesn't happen in general, but in many game studios the opportunity to do tasks beyond your primary job description is often seen as a valuable development opportunity. Almost everyone I know in the games industry started somewhere completely different from where they ended up, and most of the time the experience necessary to make the career jumps came from opportunities to do more than their narrow job description.
Miike might have been a community manager, but I am aware he was doing other things connected to and beyond that role. And while I never specifically asked him "hey, are you feeling particularly oppressed today" I would imagine that he gained significantly from his experiences here. Those experiences should serve him well where ever he lands next.

I mean, I would.
It is not.
